Guys, let's just admit it: The UK flag looks way cooler than the American flag.
It's beautiful. The best feature is the simplicity. It has deep meaning in it, but it doesn't require the clashing design of the American flag. Sure, the American flag is cool because it manages to be modern (50 states on the union jack) as well as historical (13 colonies), but it's just a bit cluttered. The UK flag has the same colors, but they accent each other. It uses parallel lines and symmetry to be appealing to the eye, and the angles imply sophistication with style.
I dunno guys, it's just a really good looking flag. Discuss how I'm a filthy communist traitor or whatever.

It's hard to take your flag seriously knowing my ancestors used it to wipe their nethers on more than one occasion. ;)

I forget when it was, but I was rather old when I first realized that the British flag isn't symmetrical (compare the diagonal red stripes).

Simplicity?Look across the water at The Republic of Ireland's flag.Three colours side by side.Green representing Catholics, orange representing the Protestants and white in between to represent the peace that both strive achieve with each other.[spoiler]Though the Union Jack is aesthetically pleasing.[/spoiler]

It looks brilliant as a BF4 Emblem :D And of course, a national flag <.< Nothing like driving a battle-boat with the Union Jack on it and pretending to be shooting scallywags and pirates rather than Chinese and Yanks.

Fun fact each colour in the flag doesn't touch the other out of respect for each country. Sure the red line of N.Irelands flag is on the Scotland's white but if you notice it doesn't touch the Scottish Blue. All 3 countries have white so its an almost symbolic colour of the flag.
