The Halo franchise would have been better if Halo 3: ODST and Halo: Reach had not been created. Both those games ruin the (what once was perfect) Halo series.
Lets face it: Halo: Combat Evolved, Halo 2, and Halo 3 were really awesome games. Halo 3: ODST was nothing more then a cash grab (60$ for a 4-6 hour long game plus a DLC map pack for Halo 3) and Halo: Reach was just a giant step in the wrong direction in terms of gameplay and multi-player (And it's campaign sucked). They are pointless and should not have been made.
^^That's all just my opinion coming from a big time Halo fan. Anyone else agree?

2 AntwortenI truely enjoyed both. ODST could have been maybe a cheaper game like $40 at least but thats my only problem. Reach imo had a fantastic campaign and the multiplayer was pretty fun too. They added many new things that I really enjoyed.

ODST was fun to just explore. I love just hitting on Heroic/ Legendary difficulty and just wandering the Mombassa Streets level! I think halo would work well with an RPG, much like Fallout. Halo has proved open world can be done, we just need it now!
-
What was wrong with ODST? I enjoyed both games.

1 AntwortenHalo:Reach has a pretty cool campaign,it's not the best though,it's multiplayer was (till halo 4,which was the only good part about halo 4)I don't know about ODST,never played it.

As short as ODST was it was still a pretty damn good game

4 AntwortenI quite enjoyed ODST, I loved the principles of the game. The silenced weapons (while not always effective) were AWSOME, ex specially the silenced SMG, that was badass. Also new Mombasa was amazing to revisit with the higher tech graphics and a longer foray into a city that halo 2 made us love. Plus the atmosphere set forth by the setting and story really embodied the feeling of halo from the books more. Plus finding clues and flashbacks went along with the theme and was executed with finesse. Halo: Reach is also was a good game, it totally refreshed the halo universe, so that we didn't get board of the halo trilogy. Because they probably thought that the ending if halo 3 was perfectly executed, and we complacent with you "finishing the fight" and therefore did not intend to extend the trilogy. Reach's customization also very well done. And I liked how the campaign felt, not rushed or drawn out. The game also shone through with you campaign character being you customized character from the multiplayer, which made the campaign a more personal. Also most/half of squad was cared for and was sad to witness their deaths.... Well except for Kat, I don't think anybody liked her. This is mainly George, Emile, Carter, and depending, maybe Jun. Now halo 2 is still superb, only problem is that the 2nd part if the game is way to frickin dark.

1 AntwortenODST was the best campaign Bungie kicked out. Reach made Halo multiplayer fun again. OP is a moron.
-
I agree. I don't mind halo 3 O.D.S.T because the DLC came with it. Halo Reach is the one I agree with you.
-
are you seriously putting down one of the best halo games. ODST was great.
-
I think Halo might've been better off without Reach. But ODST was great and gave us firefight.
-
While I agree with the fact that the series should have ended at 3, ODST had one of the best campaigns out there.
Halo 3: ODST was nothing more then a cash grab (60$ for a 4-6 hour long game plus a DLC map pack for Halo 3)
You have no clue what you're talking about with ODST. Without the DLC, ODST is only $30. The other $30 accounts for the four DLCs that came with the game, one of which wasn't released on the XBL Marketplace at the time. Plus, that game is great. It was a nice break to be an ODST trying to survive than a Spartan that did nothing but Rambo charge enemies for the 8 or so hour campaign. Plus, ODST's soundtrack was incredible.

No. Halo odst is a beautiful game
-
ODST had the best campaign and reach had great forge and custom games. If you ask me I say halo 4 was worse than both of these because it ruined custom games and barely added anything to forge
-
No game will ever be better than Halo 2.
-
4 Antworten>halo 2 >good game Pick one.
-
Haha what? Reach and ODST are some of the best games in the franchise.
-
1 AntwortenNope. Been playing since the first Halo and I think Reach and ODST were the best.
-
Agreed about Reach but the ODST camaoign is one of my favourites.
-
1 AntwortenMust say I disagree with you. ODST was really underrated, and while I dislike some of the things they implemented in Reach, and the campaign seem really mediocre and didn't feel like a Halo campaign should, the game overall was really fun, and also was the first beta I participated in, so it holds a special place in my heart.
-
2 AntwortenI strongly disagree with your opinion. And that also came from a big time Halo fan.
-
Now, I dont have a strong opinion on Reach. The campaign was a fun Halo...I was netier totally wowed, but I didnt feel let down either. Never did the multiplayer, so cant comment. Now...ODST came out when I was abroad, so I got it for cheap used when I got back to the states. Cant speak to that initial price tag. Having said that...ODST is one of the BEST FPS campains in existance. Non linear story development. The way you find out the story from each character's development. The setting. the music. the characters and excellent voice acting. Everything was done really well, and it was a fresh experience.
-
I disagree. Halo 3: ODST was beautiful. Reach was pretty good too but not as captivating as ODST
-
On ODST: I agree with all others who say its one of the most underrated and awesome games in the series. And as for Reach: I too was heavily upset about the outcome, but after a year of playing it I really enjoyed its multiplayer and learned to not loathe its story so much. See the way you should try looking at it is that Reach was Bungie's way of sort if experimenting with ideas and concepts they would later implement in Destiny. I'm talking about things such as their attempts to make the campaign missions be less linear and more open to at least a couple different approaches, their experimentation with different abilities, and their attempts at increasing player customization and individuality.

1 AntwortenODST is the my favorite halo game. If you don't like it then you like halo for the wrong reasons.
-
1 AntwortenODST was a lot of fun, and had a good single player. Would've been better off it nothing after it was released. Reach was trash and paved the way for Halo to become a cannibalized corpse of its former self with Halo 4.
