I still see game addiction and increased aggression to be BS.

Play BF4 as long as I have and you'll see the aggression.

I think they do. I sometimes get addicted to certain shooters for a short period (which isn't really that bad) and during that time I tend to get a little aggressive.

Thank you. You have changed my life with that video

To be honest I have to agree that they do exist. After getting mad at BF3 and throwing my wireless headset at the wall due to rage (Broke into 7 pieces btw) I realized that these video games are extremely violent and I need to stop playing them.
-
Well there's a pretty big difference between getting mad while actually playing the game, and then getting unreasonably or irrationally angry over something that has nothing to do with the game. My brother used to get ridiculously angry when he played (and we're talking Mario Kart or Super Mario here, not anything even close the levels of violence in CoD, Halo, or most other modern games), but he was a perfectly nice, reasonable, and normal guy when he wasn't playing. I've seen people reacting the same way in stuff like sports and then like. So I don't think it's really video games that are the problem. Good on you though if you think games are causing trouble for you and you think you should stop, I commend you for that.....so long as you don't try to force your own methods or what works for you onto me XD

The issue with banning a game which people don't realise is it won't stop games, they'll just be made illegally and sold illegally we saw that with beer during the prohibition of the depression and we see it with drugs banning them doesn't stop them it just makes life a pain in the ass for authorities

Well said coma.... Well said.

I understand ya too. I get frustrated when I see a guy Top mid that is one shot, and I missed with my last UNSC sniper round, but that rage is normal, I guess.
-
hmm I've never had that happen to me in all the years I've played FPS's. I think it's more about the person than the game making them violent. If I get frustrated in a game I either forget about it and move on to a new match or turn game off and go do something else. The most I've ever gotten was irritated when having a series of lame matches but I feel more annoyed than angry.

I don't even need to research it to tell you how it works. The point of video games is often to complete tasks. When we complete tasks, our brain releases dopamine. This creates a feeling of reward in the player. Dopamine is also released when you use certain stimulant drugs, specifically cocaine. It is very addicting, but not as much as say, opiates.

That video explains it best.
