One of the reasons why the read-only downtime between Bungie.net and Bungie.next took a while was because we wanted to port the history of our chatter as a community over to the new platform.
This is still being done.
If you are looking for full reply histories for older topics, you may see some holes in the conversation. They will appear over time. There was a lot of chatter to bring from one place to another. We'll be doing it in batches.

2 AntwortenTwo days seems rather small for that amount of conversation. It's all good, baby cakes.

8 AntwortenGood luck with my Title thread... :/
-
Does this include those 12 bajlillion porch day threads?

1 AntwortenBearbeitet von Arbiter 739: 1/10/2013 11:07:05 PMI do not like this update DeeJ, not one bit. Why couldn't you have kept, if not a similar palette, an actual forum? This is more akin to twitter or Reddit than the site I so loved. If nothing is changed I will simply abandon Bungie. I can withstand a 1-year wait for your game, but THIS? This change is not acceptable. http://halo.bungie.net/ contains the old forum! All is not yet lost!
-
Dear DeeJ, Does this include 6 pages of "Shishka is a pegboy"? Love, Typhoon
-
4 AntwortenThat's good news. It would be a shame to lose history. Especially the cheerios thread. Is coup going to be brought back?
-
It would be nice if you could track all posting history from day one...on the old website, I could only go back 12 pages.
-
2 AntwortenSo does this mean that you'll be getting rid of "halo.bungie.net" after this transfer is done?
-
Good news.

1 AntwortenHistory: Port the history of our chatter as a community? Actual history?!? Who cares about it?? Better give me some Ice Road Truckers or Hairy Bikers! How much percent is the porting done? Nice, thanks for the update.
-
2 AntwortenDoes this mean that our saved threads will eventually return, DeeJ?
-
Even if it's back, we won't be able to see it.
-
Im happy to hear this. Im interested in hearing how it will be sorted though..
-
Nice to know.

4 AntwortenBearbeitet von Tom T: 1/10/2013 10:09:45 PMDon't suppose ported discussions could be tagged in some way? Would be cool if I searched #forumid5576 and could have a nostalgia trip through Optimatch. Edit: And to prevent people from ruining it, I assume there is a way of preventing some tags from being usable by the public.

7 million lines.

Awesome sounds good.

I was wondering about the group threads gone missing. This clears that right up for me. Huzzah for using my eyeballs.
-
1 AntwortenWith the mass amount of chatter that has gone on in the past, I'm surprised that most of it carried over in two days.
-
Thanks for the information. This is literally my first time seeing the website like this so I'm still in definite shock mode.
-
4 AntwortenThis question continues to arise, so I'll offer assurances again that the legacy dialogue will become whole over time.
-
Thanks for clearing that up.
-
3 AntwortenI liked the old forums... I just miss that. =(

Out of curiousity, exactly how long did it take? And if you can, how big was the files to convert such?
