Halo 2 Vista being taken offline Feb 15th, 2013.
In the most recent Halo Waypoint Bulletin, it was confirmed that 343i are taking Halo 2 Vista down on the 15th of Feb.

I have to say, I'm incredibly annoyed. We should organise one last hoorah for one of the greatest games ever made; Halo 2. Even on PC, it's still better than Halo 4.

1 AntwortenThe day 343i shuts down Halo 3 (which, yes, I know how the system works and how there's less than a .001% chance of it happening while Halo 3 is still as prized as it is, but you never know) is the day I will fight them with my bare hands. Franky better keep his promise and make a Halo game better than Halo 4. RIP Halo 3 and Halo 2

Good riddance. The community were a bunch of asshole kids. Plus why the hell would you have a clan made up of 15 people when the max population is only like 30 people at a time? Most of the time the clans were a bunch of bullies taht went around teaming up and ruining a perfectly good game.

1 AntwortenHalo 2 Vista has been "dead" IMO for a long time now. It was never a true Halo experience especially for BTB fans. I just want to play full BTB matches in matchmaking on Terminal, Containment, Coagulation, Relic, etc. 343 needs to talk with M$ and try to get a free Halo 2 arcade to come with every copy of the next Xbox. It would be my most played game for sure. I miss playing full games of Halo 2 so much... :(

1 AntwortenYou guys know that if it were up to me, everyone at 343 would be fired and replaced with people that aren't totally and utterly retarded. However, this is an action that should have happened a few years ago, and this is the wrong reason to hate 343i. H2 Vista was screwed from the beginning, and anyone that's ever played it knows its been a long time coming.

I don't have Halo 2 vista, so this doesn't really affect me, but this bs 343 keeps pulling on the community is pathetic. 343 must die.

2 AntwortenThis is quite sad indeed. I still go back to Halo 2 Vista every now and then to play some multiplayer. Companies need to quit this trend of shutting off old servers. It's getting quite annoying. Ah well though. Farewell Halo 2. :(
