I'm so tired of losing in PvP
The PvP population is so low that half of it is scummy players doing Gods-knows-what to their weapons that make them 100% accurate with no flinch.
No matter what loadout I use I never seem to get anywhere. Sure I do experiment with underdog builds but even when I KNOW what I'm using should work it suddenly doesn't.
Scatter grenades stop tracking. Players don't Freeze. Our Rifts are still disappearing (widely known issue but no wonder from Bungie). I watch as players stand in my Vortex or Solar grenade and take no damage. But it must be working for some because they're walking all over everyone on my team with ease.
I'm tired of losing to this crap.

It’s not cheating. The player base has gotten so low that it’s only the sweats left. If you don’t have good movement and map awareness it’ll be a struggle. Playing on a true computer monitor versus a tv makes a huge difference. No lag.

Life hack: don’t play PvP Also, the game is pretty much dead anyway, so better invest your time elsewhere.

So stop playing ?! The player pool is very low now and it’s mostly the full timer losers left ! Then throw in the cheating and crap balancing so why bother ?!

Vortex grenades definitely need some help. In Control, people will just run up and stand there inside of them, if they're on a point, as long as nobody is around to shoot at them, because they know it won't damage them enough to KO them, of they were at full health.

Yeah PvP is rough right now. Each game feels like a competitive sweat fest or just a complete stomp out for 1 team. Between low population, a horrible meta, and Bungie focusing on marathon forcing PvP in its worse state ever. The only reason I even play trials right now is for the nine shaders and a better hc. After that my reason to play will just be gone which sucks because I do like PvP but matchmaking the same 6 players over and over again is just not fun. I do hope the game recovers but with Bungie giving destiny the gambit treatment that tells me even Bungie is giving up on the even after years of us supporting them.

Pvp is basically who got who's ability first or who got who's damage perk first.

Yep. You'd think it be less annoying but it's worse. Comp is full o f them. Was making progress....into Platinum 2 and then WHAM knocked back coz is annoying sus players.

It's not just you, many of us are not enjoying pvp right now. With the low player base we are being matched with players from all over the globe so there is a lot of lag and stuttering plus it feels a lot worst since Marathon landed so I'm convinced that game has server priority over D2. Add to that the cheaters who are using accessibility devices and network manipulation and you have a recipe for a bad time.

Using an auto rifle in destiny is a recipe for disaster. I highly recommend using a better hand cannon. The 900 rpm smg’s are trash in pvp as well. I wouldn’t even use an smg unless its the trials one. Im gonna be extremely crucial here but the weapon stat is garbage. The weapon stat only benefits a very few specific weapon archetypes and you have to go all out with 200 to make those specific weapons work. For your warlock I highly recommend giving your health stat a 170 minimum, Super to like 80-100, grenade 100, class 70-100. The exotic you are using is fine but I suggest nothing manacles as they are currently really strong and consistent. For the build make sure you have the right fragments like the one that gives overshield after defeating an enemy while your health is low. As a voidwalker, the more you can spam devour, the more you are set up for success. Last thing I will say is watch your positioning, learn to play more with your team and team shoot as much as you can, don’t get impatient and run towards the first red bar you see on the radar. Sometimes, it’s much easier to let an enemy come to you since you can position yourself in a favorable spot and get the drop on them. I could give you so many more tips but understanding the basics goes a long way. As for winning or losing, unless its trials or comp, you really shouldn’t care, this game’s pvp is meant to be just for fun, you get rewarded no matter the outcome of a match.

This has been a problem for years. Not just now. Cbmm was a lot better; you still had your network manipulators and xim users but if your connection was good; you had a better chance to keep up with them. Destiny in relation to pvp and sbmm focuses on the worse connection in the lobby. This gives the so called GOD players the advantage. Cbmm needs an immediate return.

Do you have the season pass if not then I would say there is a hidden mechanic that removes something but if you do have the season pass that hidden mechanic is active, I'm just guessing though, but way back I didn't buy the last 2 episodes and I noticed I lost more in PVP and was at the bottom of the board a lot but when I had the pass before I noticed I did alright, but in PVE I noticed when I have the pass did damage to adds, but when I didn't have the pass I died more and did less damage to adds, I would say the company needs to make money and to be honest I wouldn't put it past Bungie to do it, the company has done a lot of crap way back when who's to say there still at it, don't take my word for it I'm just telling my opinion and my experience have fun and a good day.

Basically this is your chance to adapt and try new things. If you dont you will just hate the game because the chance bungie is gonna change anything is the square root of zero. The guys who use xim and cronus - i would say that since bungie obviously doesnt consider it cheating (the player pop would drop by a good 30% if they banned them) you have to ask yourself if its really cheating. That leaves team shotting at all costs. Try different warlock kits if the ones you are using are not working. Arc one shot nades are fun to use. Run around more. Dont commit to your battles. Get some dmg in and dip against them, hopefully your team can clean him up. Blinklock might be fun. The invis strand warlock is quite annoying in its own right. Good luck guardian, you have faced stronger enemies and prevailed.

Good time to walk away ! I’m only play maybe 3-4 hours a week now . Destiny pvp is just awful now …still don’t understand people pumping in 3 hours a dsy in control ?! Some are finding more challenging to drop the habit …it’s not an enjoyable experience now and i can manage 2-3 games before im over it .

The new era of jotunn users has started. But its like alcohol in society, we know its not good but we all tolerate it.

well sorry to read this as I'm having a good time in PVP with a bunch of weapons lately... I always play my void walker with chaos + child + vortex nades btw I consider scatter.. freeze.. weavewalk...etc toxic not gunplay focused and my playstyle very neutral meaning survivability #1 so I can use my weapons to make a kill.. and my super is one and done. What changed PVP a bit for me, I think, is changing my stats.. out of my 12 loadout slots 10 are dedicated to PVP but only 2 builds are represented there.. as I keep the slots for element changes based on my weapons... this makes me not have to do much in between matches or during if I want to swap weapons. I'm willing to share that I went very strategically (super to class) and not sure how much that had to do with it but I think it helped survivability a lot. Health 170 > 160 Melee 108 > 110 Grenade 27 > 27 Super 86 > 27 Class 104 > 174 Weapon 27 > 22 Yes sometimes I dont get a super but often do by end of match... I dont miss it.. I was surprised to learn that there was something called enhanced athletics for the legs.. I run 2 Also I'm ferro + swordmaster.. very much on purpose.. sword is for my melee #1 reason I am voidwalker (pocket for life).. the rest of the mods are just targeting, flinch, reload dexterity for my long range weapon... not my short range. I am usually double primary.. but try everything... no 2 matches in a row have the same weapons all types... 1 match is enough for me to dismantle or approve the weapon... ...I am not killing it every match but sometimes I am... but it feels like its because of proper choices, movement, gunplay, choice of weapon the above is one of many that can work but my recommendation is stay away from the toxic stuff... find a build that lets you survive and help your team... then optimise -
It’s just woefully stale. 1) Nothing has been done to adjust the meta outliers. 2) The community left in the PvP have just shitty game mechanics.
