Issue with Cross Save
I want to unlink my Steam account from my Bungie account, but unfortunately my old xbox account is still linked. I don't even own an xbox anymore and I've long since forgotten the credentials to sign into the account. I can't authenticate the account on xbox and it's preventing me from unlinking my steam account. So I'm really not sure what my options are. I don't even care if I lose access to the characters on my xbox account, I just want my steam account unlinked.

Hi there, Thanks for reaching out. Since the [url=https://help.bungie.net/hc/en-us/articles/35597981889300-Notice-Bungie-net-Account-Unlinking-Update-on-March-25-2025]unlinking update[/url] from March 25th, 2025, only Twitch accounts are now eligible to be unlinked from Bungie profiles. All other platform accounts, once linked, are linked permanently. Further, as Bungie entrusts players with the security and management regarding linking their accounts, we do not unlink any accounts on players' behalf. Thus, the Steam account in question will remain linked, even if you could authenticate all linked platform accounts.
