Even ON launch day.
Very bad for a AAA game.
And you refused to make a Destiny 3 for this.

It’s lost 1/5 of its playerbase already

Bearbeitet von Wintermute 2050: 3/11/2026 5:34:37 AMThere are thousands of games competing for players. It is much more difficult for a studio to develop a best selling game now than it was years ago. A game must be extraordinarily good to attract millions of players. All studios have this challenge. Marathon is just average. It is a niche game in a niche market segment. Regardless of what Bungie has planned, do not expect a major increase in the player population. They probably did not understand this when they began developing Marathon. This is a new era where a blockbuster game will be a rarity.

5 AntwortenI was giving it till this past weekend to see if it could potentially break 100K. It didn't even get past 90K on Steam. That's a huge yikes in my book.

Im seeing creators basically begging their audience to get marathon. Paul tassi latest video, he's been compromised too.

It's currently number 31 on Xbox game sales in march & it's number 101 on time played. This doesn't look good

Idk man the game is good but the problem is sustaining a playerbase it's literally bleeding players now and I don't think that new raid is going to help because only a small minority of players are going to beat it let alone do it, it's even smaller then the destiny raid community because no doubt it might be lvl requirement like outpost. Here we go again BUNGIE turning their games into a streaming platform watch they host Marathon raid stream thinking it will bring in new players.

Be fair, It's got a lot more than Destiny does.

8 AntwortenIt's not a triple AAA game.

1 AntwortenCan’t help but feel for the mods at Bungie who have to move all these Marathons doom post to the right section. Players count alone doesn’t tell the whole story. But as someone ignorant to the field they do seem low.
