Think about all the coding needed for each perk and mod. The artwork is fantastic.
Multiple versions to play from easy to stupid hard. Patrols to Raids to GMs. Who else does that?
Seriously, yes there are issues and flaws, and it does not work as planned at times but still a great game all in all.
I have played many others and still come back to this one and you probably do to.

This game has become total trash bruh!! They should pull the plug already..D2 is dead and Sony will get rid of bungie. Bungie will not survive until next year.

Whenever I feel like playing D2 these days, I've been playing Gambit or going after triumphs I didn't worry about getting before.

Not is, was. It has been neglected and abandoned and is a mere shadow of its former self.

Bearbeitet von Sen: 3/8/2026 10:15:50 PMFor me, the game FEELS good to play. I love builds. I love the lore. I actually like the story for EoF and Renegades. I'm a huge lore nerd. Hate the removal of content Hate deltas as we can't overlevel which would be super healthy for people who have limited time to bypass difficulties at a players own pace Hate fomo. Removal would further improve a player playing at their own pace without feeling RUSHED. Lack of content.. Especially raid content Tier 5s not meaning anything due to them being handed out like candy New player experience sucks and doesn't get people INTO the game. Not updating EVERYTHING to a new system is just a bad move. IF there is an update to how the game works, it should apply to EVERYTHING. Having old content remain relevant is a good thing.

Still the best game of the last 10 years. Movement, gunplay, space magic and environment are without peer. Its a shame it list its way the last few years, but its still a blast to play - well, as long as you avoid potty.

Destiny is an awesome game. D2 has become a shell of what it was since after Shadowkeep

For me as an 18 year old I love this game because it was my childhood to This day I am still playing Destiny 2 even though I’ve completed everything in the game for now I am just helping out everyone on Xbox lfg and in game lfg until Gaurdian games and iron banner etc those events come out but it’s one of the best games I’ve ever played hands down even Destiny 1 And I know that everyone whine and complain about Bungie but that really comes to end at some point I hope look at Bungie they’ve always made the best games

Bearbeitet von Discovery: 3/8/2026 2:27:19 PMDestiny has always been my go-to game. I've played Destiny since the release day of Destiny 1. Since then I've bough every expansion for the full year. I would not have played it if it was not great. But now I don't play it. Why not? Because it is not great today in my humble opinion. On weekends I think that maybe I should play through the last two missions of Renegades, just to have gone through the story, but I always find something else to do because the game does not draw me in. A good game do. Like any potential fine-dining meal made of the best ingredients, if a bad cook takes over the cooking and overseason it and burn the food, it is a disaster. That is what Destiny has become in my opinion. It had the potential, it delivered awhile, and then it got messy and no one took care of it. Destiny today is a former shadow of itself. My guess is that the June release is the last "big" release of Destiny. They probably won't shut down the servers and totally leave the game just yet, but my guess is that they will just continue to have Crucible now and then, maybe add a map or two and have the season activities like Eva's. Minimum effort to keep it alive a little longer. We'll see what happens. I'm a bit sad to see how Bungie have handled this wonderful franchise these last years, I played it for many years and so it has been a part of my life for long. But it is just a game.

3 AntwortenThat is part of the problem, isn't it? Too much that bungie can't balance all the mods, perks and combinations. Too many wepaon types, too many abilities, too much stuff to manage and get it ALL correct. Of course there were failures, but instead of saying we have over done this and are having trouble getting right, what do they do? Make new perks, add new abilities, new mods, the artifact and it's perks, and nerf anything they can't bring into balance based on some calculation that is so complex they can't tell you how it all works. Original Halo was simple, like 12 weapons, no perks, no mods or abilities. JUST gun play. The basic concept is fantastic, and was orriginally implemented fairly well, but as the game grew, the dev team lost control and NEVER recovered. Out right refused to go back to something that was simpler. There are now no bounties, no public events, and difficulty is so tied to light level that some players will never reach max LL. They just can't do Master, GM or Ultimate difficulty. There are more than a few flaws! The refusal to make QOL changes until the player base numbers fell off was idiotic! Bungie miss managed, and designed around some ideal player base that does not exist in reality. They not only lost their way but turned off the path to chase stupid social and political agendas that had nothing to do with the game or gaming. Honoring one group, while refusing to honor another group and all while screaming inclusivity for the groups they were supporting. Yes Bungie made a good product, and it reached a lot of players, but they made too many mistakes along the way. I am fairly certain nothing they can do now will save the game and it most likely will cost the entire studio.

It's an awsome game at its core but over the years bungie have slowly removed what made the game good nd then completely shat on it with edge of fate, now its a shell of its former self.

Bearbeitet von GalaxySpider: 3/8/2026 7:09:21 AMevery mmorpg like WoW does....or do you think RPG traits only exist in Destiny, lol. The whole genre of mixing shooters with RPG elements originates from classic RPG games, hell, back even to table top games. And in terms of loot and perks and power fantasy, Borderlands does a much better job here than Destiny, because Destiny only limits to itseflf because of the horrible PvP aspect of the game.

1 AntwortenNo, I'd argue it's a sound game. "Awesome" would be overstating it by a sizable margin, depending on a specific time you'd be referring to.

Destiny in its hay day in context of D2 I would say season of opulence was its peak, but instead of just refining the experience their throw things at the wall to bait engagement mentality came to bite them in the butt over the years quite quickly. Heck, I don't even dislike D2 because it fundamentally is a good game. But bungie as a studio are beyond incompetent, not even knowing their playerbase multiple years in, the sole game keeping their lights on. Sure, feedback will be mixed pulling in several directions but its their job as devs to break it all down to core issues that are feasible to implement then go from there but no too self absorbed that everything they do is right.

Its a great game, top 10 of all time.

11 AntwortenAwesome? Mmmm, i'd say that's pretty much subjective. Gunplay is fun, sure, but, lately, i catch myself going into War Thunder or Zenless Zone Zero rather than here. Buildcrafting is not exactly the most extensive out there. Path of Exile skill tree has become legendary for its complexity. Modding system in Warframe offers way more possibilities for a custom and viable build. Subclass system in Destiny surely deserves some praise for its simplicity, but it wouldn't hurt if perk and skill descriptions would actually accurately state for how long will some effect last and how strong it will be, in seconds and percents. That's in fact a pretty big gripe i have with this game. Even gachas don't play around with "moderate", "short duration", "small chance" and other nonsense, it's all specified. With this many possibilities in activities and difficulties, i unironically prefer hanging out in patrol. Doing one and the same thing over and over again, without as much difference between two runs as a different map layout, inevitably gets boring. For example, in Warframe, no two runs, anywhere, are ever exactly the same. Every mission has a proceduraly generated map layout for that run and for that run only. It's not much, but it works pretty well in preventing burnout for longer.
I have played many others and still come back to this one and you probably do to.
Yeah, i still log in but it's more opposite for me. During Forsaken year and a bit later, i was almost living in this game (Dreaming City still the best location). As certain things started happening, i wasn't feeling like my care for the game was in place, so i made some long breaks, eventualy entirely abandoning the account with almost all expansions and a lot of stuff done on it. These days, i log in, i shoot my guns a couple of times in patrol, and go about my day. I just don't care where this game is going. Champions are not fun. Bullet sponges are not fun. Banes are not fun. Timers are not fun. Gunplay is fun, and the environment design on planets is absolutely gorgeous. That's it for me.

All thanks to the brilliant minds that created Halo. New Bungie hasn't done anything of merit since 2015.

6 AntwortenI doubt anyone would describe Edge of Fate as awesome 🤔

Bearbeitet von Franco-Nevada: 3/7/2026 11:53:32 PMYes, it is. You don't get people spending a decade of their lives playing a game that is not awesome. It's the bee's knees! Now we just need some more content.
