Go pet Archie at the tower if you can. Inspired by a real life canine, he was unfortunately shot by the neighbor (trespassing incident). Nonetheless, he was a happy dog and someone’s emotional companion.
Rest in peace puppy whoppy

But stories like this leave me drowning in sadness and burning with anger at the same time. The land of the free and the home of the brave, they say. A land so “free” that anyone can buy a gun at a supermarket. So “free” that people are encouraged to walk the streets armed and afraid of one another. And the brave — the oh so brave — who prove their courage by shooting an innocent animal for wandering onto their property. How empty and broken must someone be to move through life believing they need to kill something that cannot fight back? There is nothing brave about fear dressed up as freedom. It’s just pathetic — and deeply, heartbreakingly sad. Here in the UK, the neighbour would have been arrested just for owning a fire arm, let alone using it.
