I've been losing my mind trying to figure out what the hell is considered a contract.
Had to search online and check videos.
Then only just now learned contracts exist in a random menu several clicks in. I'd not seen this until now.
I went deeper down the rabbit hole and found the vanguard alerts and conquests sections I had no idea existed
Stop hiding menus and playable things behind 8000 button clicks and make an effing tutorial for once good God it doesn't have to be this ridiculously overcomplicated
And now that I found the contracts I have to go to each faction and figure out which ability is tied with which faction then check the menu to see which faction has to give activity and just hope none of them are smuggle. F off with this madness
Still have no idea how to access the invasion side but I don't really care
And seeing the priority contract says to complete exfil from jobs in piker or tharsis reformation territory....how the hell do I know what territory I'm in?!? What the F is an exfil?!?

3 AntwortenIt comes up as a tooltip towards the beginning of the campaign. Reading is required

8000 button presses? I only takes me at max 3

The things call contracts are contracts.

3 AntwortenSorry, but definitely a skill issue here. Everything you complained about is explained during the tutorial and with the hints pop ups. Only valid complaint you had was stuff being hidden behind several menus. But not gonna lie 30 seconds of mild curiosity solves that problem.

Bearbeitet von eeriearcade: 1/21/2026 11:22:06 PMI came back to Renegades after a year out of the game and there’s a lot of info to take in and it can feel a bit overwhelming. The Renegades menu with the 3 planets has a key at the side which tells you the symbols for the types of jobs (bounty hunt, sabotage and smuggle) and the different syndicates (The Pikers, Totality Division and Tharsis Reformation). When you select the locations on the planets, the symbols tell you which job is there and which syndicate controls that territory. Exfil just means to get out of there on the ship you board at the end of the last encounter. The yellow border icons have opposition invaders, but only on Master and Grandmaster difficulty. If you want to be an invader, select the red icon at the top (it’ll say “invasion” when you hover over it). I hope that helps.

Squeezing time through unnecessary menu clicking, we had this with shader deletion

6 AntwortenYou literally just wrote a huge complaint that essentially is translated to - I DON'T WANNA USE ANY INTELLIGENCE WHEN I PLAY VIDEO GAMES... TURN BRAIN OFF AND SHOOT IS ALL I WANNA DO

Not really on topic, but the word "overcomplicated" makes it so. If Bungie ever wondered what the numbers of skillful, "professional" players were, compared to those who just wanted to have fun, well they've found out. About 18,000 to 500,000.

The contracts weren’t that bad to find. Understanding the priority contract path was awful though. Idk why it’s broken up into two steps that are basically the exact same.

Bearbeitet von Dragokin: 1/22/2026 4:09:12 PMRight there with you I didn't do my first lawless frontier whatever tell well after a month in didn't even have access to it till I finish the campaign and then a quest after that got lost in a different set of menus this mobile game menu madness thing is ridiculous

It's literally, the stupidest expansion ever. But what do you expect from a dev team that is not the original Bungie. They call themselves Bungie, but they're not. Not by a long shot and it shows.

1 AntwortenBearbeitet von Navy0684: 1/21/2026 11:23:23 PMAn exfil is completing the mission and leaving. Who controls what is stated on each respective icon when you hover over it. Invasions is on its own selectable icon.

1 AntwortenBearbeitet von The-IIID-Emp1r3: 1/22/2026 3:06:21 PM
and make an effing tutorial for once good God it doesn't have to be this ridiculously overcomplicated
The problem is people can't be bothered to read, just look at the new light quest, bungie bombards people with "look at all these new quests etc you can do, also plz buy DLC" and people cannot be bothered to continue their New Light quest line and get confused on where to go because they didn't bother marking said initial quest as "follow this" (green checkmark) of said new light quest because they do not notice that it WAS still ongoing and that aside from it you do have a second active quest with it initially iirc. Bungie needs to remaster D1 in it's entirety and tack it onto D2 replacing the new light quest and all that, or just keep it as is but just remove all the tons of infodump and only unlock new content ONCE players have unlocked planets in chronological order (campaigns etc) Bungie care so little they infodump in a short video onto new lights everything, Rhulk, Nez, The Witness even lmao, Bungie straight up lays it all out spoiling the story for the NEW PLAYER instead of letting them catch up via the history page (where you can play one mission of Forsaken, etc, to get up to speed w/ narration by a VA, read other DLC nodes) and then play every campaign DLC in order as intended if they'd just make all this 5+ year old content F R E E period.. Is bungie still making money off of Shadowkeep? Beyond Light? Lightfall? nerfed Forsaken pack? That needs to change, the whole Light&Dark saga should be free regardless that we paid for it, we paid when it was new, now this content is legacy, it should be free.
What the F is an exfil?!?
Exfil aka basically saying you get ready to get outta there fast
