😇👍💠
If... you actually like this game, you don't have to be nervous anymore.
10 more years probably.
@Bungie... Congratulations. Time to turn this ship @Sony. I vote for retrofitted nuclear powered supersonic underwater turbines.

2 AntwortenCurrently at 30. I think they need a really solid open tech test demo before launch.

5 AntwortenYou do realize Marathon is going to kill destiny Then the cheats will drive all the legit players out just like destiny pvp. Bungie also knows this. But hey wahoo
-
13 Antwortenuntil you realize most people pre ordered the game to get the bonus cosmetics in d2, then will cancel their preorder / get a refund on day one for marathon lmao
-
5 AntwortenI wonder what the development costs were???
-
4 Antwortenlol give it 3 to 4 weeks and we'll see then..

It's 12 for me, likely cancellations after nabbing the destiny pre order stuff, & it's January so nothing else to really pre order other than avatar & that's like £12 & right behind marathon so I'd hold those celebrations a little while. In the context of the earlier bad press seeing it at 5 was good, but given it's the amazing bungies 3rd ip in nearly 30 years, it would be expected to be much higher by Sony I'd think. Don't care either way tbh, partly you're correct it 'could' be good for destiny if it does well, it 'could' also be bad. Same if it flops. The potential destiny delay, the advertising marathon in-game, particularly the placing of it in the destiny expansions section does feel a little off, understandable but still not a good look given their current position & general feeling about bungie.

I think February 12, you and I will have a very long and informative conversation again.
-
1 AntwortenMarathon will crash and burn. Don't get why you are congratulating them, especially since they stole someone's art to claim for themselves. That reason alone I won't buy it.

Bearbeitet von THE GRIND IS REAL: 1/20/2026 3:37:17 PMWhat you smoking ? I want some 😆, prob just players that bought the dlc on sale ,it won't last long though soon as they complete campaign and realise everything else worth getting is behind daft feats and bullet sponge bosses etc they'll leave

2 AntwortenPlayer count is collapsing…..

2 AntwortenWhilst I'm not gonna mindlessly hop on the "it's just for the cosmetics" or "just wait, people will cancel" trains; I'm also not gonna call it a success until a few months post release (I'm not gonna call it a failure until then either). But I do share the concerns of another commenter, that even if it succeeds, D2 may get nothing from that success. Bungie's current management may well want to move resources back to D2 from Marathon, but papa Sony could well prevent it; Sony openly said last year they were reducing Bungie's autonomy, and that they're still expecting to see the profits Bungie's former management promised to drive the sale through. I also don't even 100% trust that Bungie management will actually return to resources to D2, given the current (understandable) player slump.... Remember that Round 2 of the disastrous lay-offs was after TFS reversed the Lightfall player drops; and whilst Parasite Parsons is gone, I don't know how many of the incompetent morons that ran Bungie into the ground hard enough that they asked Sony to save them and still had to gut the company post-success are still there.....
-
2 AntwortenAbsolutely not, the more successful marathon is the less attention Destiny 2 will get.

So happy to see WWM up there as well as the biggest shocker to me, my beloved Fallout 76!
