guardian rank is so important?
I met some really good players
they only rank 3-5
(Before portal update they are all rank11)
they can easy finish 5 feat dungeon ,dayone or every hard mission.
But some 11rank players every time see our rank always say our rank is too low, and worry about that my friend doesn’t know enough thing to carry them( because those 11rank players haven’t played some hard mode)
I don’t think the guardian rank is a big problem.
Just because we hate portal ,and rank 11 player think we are suck????

12 AntwortenBearbeitet von Alleviate_Fate: 12/22/2025 9:11:14 PMIm gonna be brutally honest here, while I have a few friends who dont do the guardian rank thing, if you look them up they have duo or trio flawless master raids, day 1 contest clears, not 48 hour, all solo flaw dungeons. These are people who are good, most people under rank 11 you put in any of those situations they arent performing. Its a majority thing and the majority of players that still care do the horrible guardian rank grind. Again there are outliers but they are few and far between. You at rank 5 and hidden stats leads me to believe you are in the later group.

For most people it's a check list. And a way to curate their fireteams. If you're 11... you're either ok with cheesing endgame... or you did it legit, which means you can carry them. That's the benefits of Rank 11 in this game. The ability to gatekeep in lfg, lol. And I do NOT mind. Any post that says... must be rank 'this'... bad news. Also, 'no hunters'... but that's just pride... I'm not perfect, I get most PvE Hunters struggle in more difficult content. I just don't like blanket... "not this" posts when they're asking for help. If it's for a req. ok. But otherwise... those teams are rarely actually any good. It's not for clout. Because the vast majority cheese that ****. It is surprising how many believe that it counts.

3 AntwortenPeople need some way of telling if someone is good or bad at the game (or at least a dedicated player vs new light) without the need of wasting time playing with them and finding out by themselves the hard way. Is the Guardian Rank a perfect way to show that? Probably not but it's the only one we have...

3 AntwortenI have been saying this since they came up with guardian rank . I can only know if someone is good or bad by playing some activity with that person . But some people check out your rank , stats , what weapons you use , even your profile and then think they know something . Just avoid them , you don't wanna play with those toxic people .

1 AntwortenI was a level 6 guardian for 2 years before EOF. Even after I bought the game, I never bothered going to 7. After the launch of EOF, I went up to 9 since it was rather easy. Looked at requirements for 10 and said no thanks. Now I am at 6. I tried the conquest version of Sunless Cell and the rank 10 lfg teammate dies 6 times in the cavern before the subjugator. I haven't bothered with conquests and ranks after that. If I remain at 6, I wonder if I will get Tier 5 loot in the next expansion.

From what i heard, the only reason as to why we have guardian ranks, is because some people got bullied by their season pass level. Guardian ranks means absolutely nothing.

It’s all about the ego. This game has had that problem from the beginning but the more digital accolades they add, the worse it gets. You’ve played the game since D1 beta out but don’t raid? Then you have no idea how anything works and your opinion is worthless. Don’t have meta loadouts and min maxed stats? Git gud scrub. Not watching hours of videos for a single activity so you know what to do blindfolded? Amateur hour. And now we see what happens when an action game thinks it’s meant to cater to the best of players, it dies slowly and painfully. God I’m going to love it lol

We can’t always using rank to think about players! Remember those players are the one who asking people help, they shouldn’t be toxic and think only destiny’s top player allow to help them CAUSE those top1％players are busy and they want to break the world first record more than helping people. How come we have a heart to help ,we teach what we learn , we spend our time. Doing the thing what REAL guardian do, and what we got ? We got players think we are suck think we can’t help them because we are not rank 11 guardian LOL Even we did the dungeon a lot of times, get the title already, but their eyes only care the guardian rank!??!

Since the introduction of guardian ranks, I have not cared about guardian ranks. I barely care about light level and I hate it anytime bungie forces me to care. When they reset my levels again for edge of fate, I did not play that season.
