I'm tired of getting two shotted by everything but the weakest enemies in grandmaster portal missions. Something spawns in behind you and you're dead before you can react or find cover. At 400 power I thought maybe I just need to suffer until I level up a little more. At 450 I don't have any problem with damage. I've got a fun arc build using ionic traces with quickly recharging grenades, but a couple of minotaur snipers can ruin my day before I even figure out they're there. There's not even an armor or shield customization system or linear progression of increasing stats like health. It doesn't even change until you get to 100??? Whose stupid idea was that? What am I missing?

4 AntwortenI see players do gm content and not use resist mods when there’s a burn on like deadly solar etc. pay attention to the burn and use resist mods.

Smoke jumper should really come back, I never realized how hard it carries me in end game until trying the NightFalls.

What am I missing?[/quote] The game has added so many subclass damage resistance buffs and healing buffs to the game. Utilize them and you’ll survive. This ain’t year 3 GMs with actual one shots from rapid fire enemies. Unfortunately… Use damage resistance mods on your chest. Remove the extra armor charge mod and emergency shield mod. Use a sniper resistance and a concussive. This can change based on activities, but these two typically give you the most coverage generically speaking. Buffs like amplified on arc will give you dr. Amplified will also make enemies less accurate against you. The health stat will give you more health above 100, but you’re wasting your stats doing that when dr comes so easily from other sources.

Have you tried using any resistance mods for whatever is giving you the most trouble, like say sniper resistance.

Going in at anything below that means you are at even more a disadvantage. Which means you didn't need to suffer, you chose to, and that's not bungie's nor the game's fault. If you are getting 2 shot at 450, that's just ignoring mods for that activity. Which again is not bungie's nor the game's fault.

3 AntwortenThere are plenty of ways to heal ourselves such as Restoration, Devour, Heal Clip, Support Frame Autos, etc… However, I do sorely miss the Resilience stat and believe that the Health stat should be buffed to be somewhat similar to the old Resilience stat.

11 AntwortenI agree. The current difficulty has reached a point where it's hard to actually enjoy the game. The game feels "tedious" rather than "challenging." This is likely because the difficulty scaling relies too heavily on simply bloating enemy HP and damage output. This design makes it extremely difficult to run builds that lack specific stats, such as Arc Warlocks who often struggle with survivability. I believe one of Destiny 2's greatest strengths is the ability to play with diverse builds and personal styles. It’s disappointing to see Bungie failing to lean into that strength with the current balancing.

You're capped 30-50 below enemies in basically all content after a point. Now add in that Bungie keeps enabling elemental threats (up to 66.6% increased incoming damage) and also have a habit of turning on modifiers like Grounded or Blasts and it's a nightmare.

It has great damage and ability uptime but it lacks survivability. With no easy way ti access healing and DR you’re basically a glass canon.

As a hunter main I die very quickly. I can spec with damage reduction and healing, but unfortunately the time to kill with a hunter is so much longer than warlocks and titans that they are getting all the kills while I end up with lots of assists and as a consequence of that I’m not getting my damage reduction and healing to proc. Very close to leaving the game altogether, because of the limited choice of matchmade fireteam activities

My faith in bungie turning thing around and making Destiny great again.

6 AntwortenYou're right. Yesterday I was just going through solo ops, purely to guild the star baker title. So it had to be 'Master' or above (I'm 550). So I thought I'd just do it on Master level, so I could focus on snowball kills. Even at Master level, I was getting two shotted by snipers. Ok, I wasn't paying a great deal of attention, but what is the point of being max light and STILL being as weak as paper. F'ing ridiculous.

3 AntwortenThe game has been designed so that you have to specialize. Want a stong and fast regenerating shield? Invest in the health state, but something else is going to be sacrificed.
