1 AntwortenBearbeitet von xbroggiex: 12/22/2025 1:04:30 AMTbh Bungie making special ammo versions of primary weapon types was a mistake. Why ever run a fusion, shotgun or sniper when a rocket pulse has better ammo economy and not only good single target damage but can be decent in ad clear? Rocket sidearms are basically the baby versions of the pulses with less damage but with better ammo economy. The new recent special ammo handcannon is just a powercrept version of those rocket sidearms. Only solution is to buff Fusions, GLs, snipers and shotguns because they just don't compare to rocket pulses. That or nerf rocket pulses into the ground to being the miniboss fighting weapons they should be, no-one should be pulling out a rocket pulse for boss DPS ever. Primaries just need a 100% damage buff and Bungie nerfing specials which makes no sense will gain them more ire from the community. They can't afford it... literally.

1 AntwortenStill complaining about Hunters at the end of 2025 is something

1 AntwortenWho is asking for specials to be nerfed?
-
1 AntwortenImagine being ignorant and completely misunderstanding what the community is actually asking for. No one is asking for nerfs bro, everyone simply wants primaries to be viable in endgame. I experienced this myself, the second you start doing damage in endgame pve with a primary, it just tickles them. The way bungie scales their difficulty is horrible. Damage should stay consistent across all difficulties, the way bungie should balance everything is simply adding more enemy density, increasing their damage a bit and giving bosses slightly more health so players cant melt them. Making primaries weak is just laughable because then the only viable way to play is to run double specials and nothing but special ammo perks.
-
Primary weapons feel extremely weak right now, primarily because enemy health pools have become overtuned. Before The Final Shape, clearing red-bar adds with a primary was manageable, and using special weapons made it a breeze. Now, it takes so long to kill basic enemies with a primary that I often die before I can even clear the pack. We cannot afford any nerfs to Special weapons. If Specials are nerfed, we'll be forced to rely solely on Machine Guns for add clear, but not every player enjoys being locked into a Machine Gun meta. We need either a significant buff to Primary weapon damage or a reduction in enemy health scaling to restore the gameplay balance.

3 AntwortenIs there an issue with WH grenade-launcher?

3 AntwortenPrimaries definitely need to feel much stronger… specially in endgame

4 AntwortenNah this is the ONE thing in Destiny we should all agree on. The ONE thing.

16 AntwortenThe problem is that everything "our level" difficulty-wise caps us 30-50 below the enemy. Maybe if Bungie knew how to do difficulty/ power levels like most if not every other developer with either, this wouldn't be an issue. Of course primaries are going to feel weak when a single red bar will take over half the ammo of an AR to kill them even with mostly crits. Or when like in the Lawless missions, on top of the increasing power delta, like over half the enemies are majors or higher. When their definition of a "challenge" isn't putting a timer on something or over complicated mechanics, it's bullet sponges and negating our last 80 levels. You know, like any game company that wants more player engagement when their game is on life support plugged into a faulty outlet connected to an outdated generator would do? Maybe for some, primaries might feel better, but then it's worth noting how up to 20% of that damage comes from the artifact and the weapon stat. How much of the rest is coming from ad clear perks like Jolting Feedback or damage perks like Adagio?
-
1 AntwortenNobody is crying nerf. They just want primaries stronger. I'm not sure what's so difficult to understand about that. Asking for a buff to one thing doesn't mean you want anything else nerfed at all. But, by all means, make up fake positions to argue against, that's what people love to do on here.

5 AntwortenBearbeitet von Obelix: 12/20/2025 11:32:20 AMPeople aren’t asking for a nerf, but a buff. The challenge is to keep primaries viable in end game without making them OP in lower difficulty. My 2 cents on this is, as an easy fix just add a permanent modifier in the portal to scale primaries damages based on difficulty. Everything Master and below primaries work as is, GM +20%, Ultimate x%… It wouldn’t be perfect but let’s face it they don’t have the manpower to do a complete sandbox balance so that would be better than nothing.

3 AntwortenPrimaries do not feel balanced as soon as you hit high tier activities. Pumping three mags into a red bar until he is finally finishable makes them quite useless....
-
1 AntwortenNah primaries are so so so bad
-
Dunno why you think people saying Primaries feel bad in-and-of-themselves means people want Specials nerfed.... Primaries feel like crap because they get heavily outscaled by the activities you take them into; they need a buff. They don't feel bad because 'Specials just feel better'.

Bearbeitet von amazing_month041: 12/20/2025 7:59:08 PMSo of something is weak and obviously needs buff and peoples calling it out it's equivalent of crying now? In this case nerf lighsaber because it can be better than heavy weapons
-
If they want legendary primaries to be useful in harder content, then they can't be about damage. I'm sure someone at bungie will figure it out.

2 AntwortenGraviton Lance is the only primary in the game that feels powerful tbh. I've tried a LOT of different primaries and they all feel weak af compared to Graviton, which you can literally clear out an entire group of enemies with 3 bursts.

1 AntwortenNot “complaining”, but they definitely struggle.

1 AntwortenThe problem with primaries is just a balance problem overall. Here's what I mean: Primaries are most of time single target, have fall off, which mean you have to use them in their "intended range"; they have a slow TTK which only gets worse in higher levels of endgame, they have somewhat bad stats in those that would matter (ammo generation). Overall, if primaries serve a purpose, they are, at most, mid or straight up bad at it Also, specials and ability spam are a part of why primaries feel terrible. Most endgame player uses an ability spam build with double specials, the reasons are simple: this is the most effective loadout in the game. Ability spam is, with some cases, so out of hand you could do an ultimatum strike without ever use your gun. This is mainly due to how effective some builds are out there, for example: warlock with nothing menacle and scatter nade can wipe entiere area with a single grenade, or most melee builds can deal more damage with a single punch than any gun in the game. And this can continue forever with some setups, leaving you with your guns feeling like a complete joke Specials, in peculiar double specials, is also a factor. Right now, we have special weapon with better dps than heavies, incredible ammo economy/generation letting you chain specials as if their ammo were infinite, they have as well infinite range and a TTK/KPM (kill per minute) primaries could only dream of. Sure the main outliers i'm refering are rocket pulse and choir of one, but you could make a case for the praxic blade. And if you've used non-meta specials/ loadout, you may know that's not every specials that are part of the problem, some specials are in need of a buff (trace rifle, grenade launcher, glaive etc..)

2 AntwortenI could see it go down that way, rather than them buffing primaries - leaving us with a 100 % ability meta.
