This dungeon is so boring and tedious.
1st encounter. The Nameless apprentices just refuses to go to the Satellites.
They will often attack you over charging up their attacks. Leading to deaths or just wasting the time on your buff.
Behemoths will drop down instantly after killing an Apprentice and most of the time right on the dead body, killing you unfairly.
The Shadow buff will randomly get removed after just one use.
----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
2nd encounter. Having to wait for a Cabal to open a door so that you can proceed, is just the dumbest thing ever.
Takes forever and due to the size of the door and the Cabals, they can very easily block you from entering.
Getting the boss to either fall down the trap doors or hit the generator, is complete rng.
---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
3rd encounter. The arena is too small and gets even smaller during the damage phase.
The bosses attack is completely unnoticeable and you won't know it until you are dead.
Boss can shoot through objects. Not the biggest issue when playing with others, Solo however i can't speak on, as i have not done it.
The only way is just to notice that small text that tells you to face your death.
Getting the Shadow buff in the normal realm is tedious as all hell.
Not every incendior drops one and the buff here gives less than in the taken realm.
Nameless apprentice will just glue itself unto you and can very easily knock you of the map.
The teleport mechanic is completely random. You can still have time and the game will just teleport you.
Randomly the boss will deal way more damage than he normally does and his hands has more health.
-----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
This is all not to mention the in between sections. Really boring, both visually and just what you are doing.
The check points sucks, the checkpoints were clearly made with the race in mind. Far apart from each other, so that if you die you loose as much ground as possible.
The weapons are pretty good though. The auto rifle and the Sniper rifle is pretty bad against the heat shields though.
And of course the constant message about how you swap between your grenade and shadow ability.
Definitely on the lower tier for me.

Wish the second encounter wasn’t so rng heavy with the enemy Ai. It’s a really cool encounter and the music is probably the best out of the whole dlc. As for the final boss the lightning testa coil thingies are just so -blam!-.

1 AntwortenI really do think they need better audio or visual feedback for the lightning hands on the last encounter. I'll often being getting hit and not really realize it. It's worse when the electricity is coming out of the ceiling. The screen is all lightning and there's a constant buzzing noise so his attack gets washed out in the background.

Equilibrium is a great movie!!! It's the guy who plays as the Dark Knight. Really wish people knew about it, amazing movie, music, and story
They don’t need to be very close to the antenna to work. Yeah, but they drop in the same spot every time… Never seen the buff randomly go away. It had a timer next to it.
The door thing feels like it’s only there to give your first time a little ah money when you figure it out. Gets old after a while. Still not that annoying tho. There’s no rng to get the boss to fall in the holes. Just stand near them and he will fall in. Don’t need to have him hit any generators. You can use them to extend damage, but I don’t think it’s worth it.
3rd encounter. The arena is too small and gets even smaller during the damage phase. Just gotta pa attention a little. Yeah, there’s definitely too many guys to compel and kill. No more than three per area would have been better. It is tedious to get to a damage phase, at least it was on contest. Post contest it is pretty chill tho. Still takes too long. Enemies knocking you off the map being the only real danger also makes the encounter feel a bit cheap since that’s not exactly combat difficulty if you’re fighting physics. The boss ramps up in damage the longer he zaps you, so that’s definitely not random. The health of his hands isn’t a big deal since many weapons can get them off in 1-2 shots. Shattered throne, the first dungeon had so much more running in between encounters. They do that to increase the scale of the activity, which has pros and cons to it. And the in between sections are full of Easter eggs, which is cool. Made me laugh when I shot a window and got sucked out into space.

3 AntwortenI farmed the 1st encounter for the armor and the AR and the nameless apprentice is just weird and i seen them: 1. Not following me to the antenna's 2. Following me to the antenna's but then warping back where they spawn 3. When one of them at the antenna's they often not charging up Luckily i got everything i needed from the first encounter so im done and since i don't even want to do the whole dungeon I can't comment on the rest

5 AntwortenBearbeitet von YippyCayo: 12/16/2025 6:24:34 PMI want the preface this by saying I’m an average player. It’s a decent dungeon, I’ll give Bungie that. There are two big issues however, I have with this dungeon on normal. The first is the timer for the darkness meter, there should be no timer for that. Second the behemoths should spawn one time in the first encounter. I also agree that the position of where the behemoths fall is stupid at best. I believe it wasn’t tested, or was tested and they didn’t have the staff to fix it in time for the release. (Edit) Another issue I have also is the unlimited enemies. It does not give the player a feel of progression. You wipe an area of enemies and seconds later it’s filled again! It adds monotony and it’s tedious.

Bearbeitet von Dooodley: 12/16/2025 6:00:00 AMWith all things Bungie - and the most recent thing being the praxic catalyst quest - it's just too much of the same. They never seem to find the right amount of cycles and/or lenght of a mission. They always have the milk the same mechanic over and over again until you never want to do it again. I personally think it's taking away from time spent on the game, rather than the other way around, because it just becomes a drag to run it - so you just wont instead. For instance, the first encounter shouldnt have had more than three shielded enemies and three orbs would have been enough on the last one. Also, the buff could have stayed longer so that we didnt have to take the damn sparrow a second time, I cant express how much I hate that element of the first encounter. The second big issue is bugs. I've only completed the thing twice but I've still managed to come across bugs in every encounter.
