2019 version of destiny was better than 2025 version
They should have made destiny 3 when beyond light came out cause then they sunsetted like 80% of the game . Then a destiny 4 with strand then a fifth with prismatic and maybe even a sixt with that portal nonsense but here we are . Still stuck on the second one cause bungie cannot move on and destroys destiny 2 instead .
They left destiny 1 as it was so why not destiny 2 ? Streamers play the latest dlc to get paid , not to have fun .
They are not playing destiny 2 anymore but will instantly hop on when bungie comes up with another dlc or whatever . Then they complain about it and move on to another game to post videos about it to get paid again . Those streamers did not complain so much in the 2019 version cause i saw them litterally play it for years , every single day . They were all having fun , now they play to get paid and leave as soon as possible . So bring back the 2019 version , it was just better in every way .

The game should have ended at Final Shape. Then they should have sold the IP to someone who actually cares to work on Destiny 3

I believe 2019 was the true golden age to not just Destiny 2 but Destiny as a whole. You could still go back and play all the content in Destiny 1, and Destiny 2 still had everything in the game. There was no such thing as content vaulting

1 AntwortenHere's the thing. Everyone always says "bring back the old Destiny"... but thats not possible. Those days are gone. Most of the original devs, creators, etc have been fired or moved on. This game has been out for like 10 yrs. Whatever "new talent" Bungie tries to hire would have to be over 30 yrs old to even remember & appreciate the history of all the lore... but most companies dont hire "older" people to bring in new players. They hire young creative go-getters, fresh outta college with bright ideas. Unfortunately, those young folks were only children when Destiny came out, so there's no way they'll ever be as familiar with the game as some of us long-time players. I dont think we'll ever "get D2 back" cuz I dont think there's anyone left at Bungie who even remembers what "peak" D2 was... but I agree that Bungie should just STOP now, stop adding to D2, stop recycling old content, stop adding new lore that contradicts old campaigns & confuses the crap outta new players. Like, it makes no sense that a new player can play Final Shape & beat the witness before ever playing LightFall or WitchQueen, which both "build up" to the witness... they can play Edge of Fate where Drifter aged like 100 yrs when Eris Morn died, before they ever play Shadowkeep where Eris seems alive & well on the moon, and Drifter is a young stud in the Gambit arena & certain cut scenes... none of it makes any sense anymore & I dont think they can reverse all the damage they've done. They just need to stop. D3 or bust.
