Maybe it’s the Christmas spirit talking, maybe it’s Star Wars, the considerably improved experience since EoF released, or simply the marketing, but I’m hyped.
I know for a fact some things are gonna suck at the release, and god help us we won’t have to turn into a ball this time, but I’m looking forward to the new expansion.
It’s not to say I’m enthusiastic about everything they announced either, I’m still sceptical about the PvEvP extraction, but we’ve been so content starved that having a new campaign feels like, well, Christmas.

Bungie is GREAT at building hype. Not so great delivering, besides a few times where they did like Forsaken and Taken King.

After all the changes and reversals and blah blah blah… I really just want Renegades to continue the story. I enjoyed the last campaign’s narrative (not so much the backtracking through areas.) The dungeon should be cool, too. My expectations are so tepid; I was originally stoked about the vault increase so I could armor up my other characters, but I’ve barely played the past 3 weeks. What once was a daily ritual seems so foreign now. Destiny is hard to stop playing, and hard to start up again lol See you all in December.

I'll be preparing for some Fatman's equipment in Dead Frontier 2 while being chased by whatever abomination lurking in the snowy fog

Im always hyped for new content, I find something fun with every new DLC . I’m sure we can agree the game ain’t perfect lol . There is a reason I’m still playing this game after all these years the ups and downs, I still have a blast shooting alien faces , the odd iron banner . This game for me still holds that special place where I can go to space kill some time escaping the real world for a couple hours . I’ve met lots of great people through this game I’m still hopeful they can right the ship and bring more people back this game is at its best when all lobbies are full and rocking Cheers, see you in Renegades guardian 🍻

I dont think that outside of the Star wars skinned gear and star wars theme, we will get anything more than the usual - a dungeon, the showcased bare minimum exotics and yet another push for activity based skills which is tone deaf when they could have used that time and effort to develop a new melee, a new super or anything else that will persevere along with the player even after renegades fades into obscurity. Point is, peel away the SW themed additions and there wont be anything more than that as far as we have seen so far. I hope I am wrong. For me - class abilities are most exciting so an aspect would be what would get me reinvested. I have given up any hope for a new subclass until at least another year passes.

You and literally ones of people are too 👍

2 AntwortenSuper hyped... 6 bounties away from finishing my prep. Decided to build an Armentarium kit... did some baseline testing for comparison. There's already something cool I discovered about it... I don't know if it's foreshadowing for the exotic rework but I'm excited. You know Rewind Rnds on Outbreak is a suped up version? Well, you get one stack of Grenadier (mod) on the chest piece. Usually an arms mod... simply it makes orbs with grenade final blows. And stacking more than one reduces the cooldown for activation. It's DOESN'T... increase the amount of orbs per proc. Armamentarium does. It produces 2 orbs per final blow. What the chest indicates then to me... is how Tier 5 exotics will function beyond extra stats. Perks they have will become enhanced with added traits. Demo on the chest will be 15% per kill instead of 10 at Tier 5 fully masterworks. It might grant 2 stacks or Grenadier. Or maybe each exotic will get intrinsic stat fonts that mirrors the tuning slot. So, not only will you be able to add 5 to Super... when you're charged you get 1 Super Font for free... so +5 (+25 when you are charged). 👀

4 AntwortenBearbeitet von Stalkholm: 11/22/2025 5:25:00 PMHype is the mind killer, but I'm happy to be hopeful, and Bungie has said and done a lot to give me reason for hope. The new weapons sound sick (like the actual sounds, the sound team cooked on those), the Exotic changes are promising, and the fact that Bungie has recognized their missteps from EoF give me some hope that they won't repeat those particular mistakes. It seems like Destiny expansions have a cadence, almost like the "Even numbered Star Trek movies are good" trope. Forsaken was beloved. Beyond light was not. Witch Queen was beloved. Lightfall was not. The Final Shape was beloved. Edge of Fate was not. Renegades....? If the pattern holds, Renegades might really be a banger. Like I said, I'm not hyped, but I'm hopeful... Okay, maybe I'm a little hyped.

why is destiny star wars now

4 AntwortenI'm cautiously optimistic. but leaning more towards optimism, for this one. It looks great, people just hate you cuz you're whimsical.
-
I’m actually curious just how broken Renegades will be at launch….

4 AntwortenIf they remove or rework the portal to go hand in hand with the director it would be actually hype.

I'm hyped for it😁.

I’m ready for the story to continue.Enjoyed this past one. Matterspark…still trying the end to last mission on fabled. It wouldn’t be so bad if an enemy killed me lol.

The game play is going to be fun. Alison Lurhs(Of Omicron Percie 8) is a competent writer. However this Star Wars veneer is pointles.
