I really can't elaborate on why, but I simply detest the Equipment Locked modifier. I could accept it when it was part of a challenge mode of a pre-existing activity, I think my last encounter with it was aboard the Leviathan back in the day. But now it is present in every matchmaking activity, which I feel works against the point of matchmaking. Even now, you can't play the Festival activity for simple, quick fun without the extraneous -blam!- tacked on. I may be among a minority on this point, maybe even alone, but while trying to make a track field with different courses, Bungie only created a unified bog to traverse. Though this may not be a surprise since everything from Edge of Fate on has been half-assed in the wrong direction.
