since precision grenade launchers are making a comeback with the FN-MTL 30 being the latest of the bunch and it looks like a karking scaled down tank gun, it makes me wonder if we can get something like that in D2? - like imagine a weapon archetype called High Explosive Cannon Frame: weapon type: rocket/grenade launcher with near hitscan projectile speed base single shot damage being 20% higher than buffed xenophage [we'll get to that in a moment] rate of fire: around 80 RPM to be a middleground of sniper rifles and grenade launchers magazine capacity: usually being 4-5 rounds at base and 6-7 at max mag perks reload: picture a machine gun like staged reload, where you pull out the large magazine, place in a new one, and pull back the front barrel charging handle, being much faster than a machine gun and slower than a sniper rifle - and to compensate this to avoid xenophage being obsolete, just buff it: increase the ammo generation to 50, and increase the ammo reserves by 40% increase base damage by 20% and firerate to 140rpm and give it a catalyst where it does 15% increased damage against scorched targets and 35% increased damage against poisoned targets affected by thorn or osteo striga and bingo you get a new weapon archetype and xenophage still stays on top of being an amazing weapon.
