I’m a sidearm main, while the shotgun handcannon is insanely broken and needs an actual nerf, it doesn’t make close range impossible. Usually, a glaive’s insane lunge range is enough to catch people off guard, not to mention it only requiring two hits is an insane TTK shift. It kills faster than anything that isn’t a special. Sounds to me like you just need more practice in close range. Oneshot glaives and shoulder charges are incredibly strong. If you’re struggling to use them effectively, you probably just need more practice. One thing though, I don’t know the exact value of how much melee and stacks of Banner you need for the oneshot with a glaive. I just know I was able to get it off frequently, and I was using the Arc Witch Queen glaive (used to be Hunter exclusive).
