Merging Bungie.net Profiles
I have recently got back into Destiny 2 on Xbox and had created a Bungie profile for it. I played Destiny & Destiny 2 on Playstation and have a separate Bungie profile for it. Is it possible to merge the two profiles for cross-play? I can't unlink either game platform from its original Bungie.net profile and the "merge" instructions on the help website are somewhat vague and hard to follow.
Is there a way to combine the two profiles or am I stuck since they are already linked?
EDIT : I did some more digging and saw that the deadline to unlink platforms & accounts was March 25th, 2025. I am hoping that is not the case for merging Bungie.net profiles but I am guessing that the merging instructions on the help website were active before the deadline, are no longer valid and need to be taken off the help forum.

Hi there, Thanks for reaching out. Unfortunately, it isn't possible to merge Bungie profiles or associated accounts. And yes, since March 25th's [url=https://help.bungie.net/hc/en-us/articles/35597981889300-Notice-Bungie-net-Account-Unlinking-Update-on-March-25-2025]unlinking update[/url], only Twitch accounts are now eligible to be unlinked from Bungie profiles. All other platform accounts, once linked, are linked permanently. Further, as Bungie entrusts players with the security and management regarding linking their accounts, we do not unlink any accounts on players' behalf. Thus, your Xbox and PlayStation accounts will remain permanently linked to their respective Bungie profiles.

"Merging Bungie profiles" requires unlinking platform accounts. Bungie aren't making any exceptions at this time.
