Justin Truman is one of the most incompetent studio heads known to man. Now that he’s taking over, it makes sense as to why that TWID was what it was.
Everything from the artificial grind to the lazy underdelivery of content is due to him. Prioritizing “Velocity” over “Efficency” and cautioning against “over delivering” is the typical corporate elitist mindset that plagues Bungie and leeches its players money and time.

Edge of Fate may have to be renamed The Edge if Ruin.

Any sufficiently advanced incompetence is indistinguishable from malice.

Bungie is in shambles, this can't continue much longer.

3 AntwortenDoing GMs with no revives is ridiculous. Diminishing rewards in all activities!!! Nah!! I will not play these new ridiculous unplayable new activities. No way man! not playing them...I rather quit the game. The new DLC is already at a discount and I still don't want to give bungie another penny...I will not buy it. I own all their previous DLCs but the state of the game is so bad now and they have vaulted pretty much 90% of the game...all destinations are irrelevant except for the portal. I'm good, no thank you. I'm just waiting for borderlands...borderlands looks awesome!!!!! The boss just got fired and another clueless fool took over. There is definitely something wrong with the leadership culture at Bungie.

4 AntwortenBearbeitet von Motopath: 8/22/2025 4:17:43 PMYes, let's make the players play longer to fabricate the player presence while the majority of the player base is gone! Seems like a credit card degree to me. It is about time SONY stepped in the flush out the madness at BUNGIE.

Bungo has been cooked did you just wake-up w/ Patrick? 👩🏻🎤

4 AntwortenNah, don’t stress it. In a subsidiary integration, normally all of the C-suite find their way out of the door, one-by-one, relatively quickly. Besides, the state of the game really can’t get much worse, and Justin will likely be gone soon. IMO, the real thing to watch for is how Sony starts replacing leadership and what their vision for Destiny is.

3 AntwortenNot so much a replacement as a battlefield promotion for Justin Truman. More heads gonna roll as Sony guts Bungie from the inside out. Something I missed first time around, from Variety Parsons will be replaced by “Destiny 2” general manager and Bungie chief development officer Justin Truman, who has been named Bungie studio chief. Sources tell Variety Bungie will no longer have a CEO, and Truman’s position is now the top role at the Sony-owned company. also Representatives for PlayStation declined request for additional comment Thursday. https://variety.com/2025/gaming/news/playstation-bungie-ceo-pete-parsons-exits-justin-truman-1236495462/

2 AntwortenBearbeitet von Obelix: 8/22/2025 11:34:08 AMI don’t know the new guy, but I do know a change of leadership at C level in a company like that takes months if not a year. Last TWID has nothing to do with Justin taking over as it will take a while until we can appreciate the changes, for better or worse. All we can do is just hope he stirs things in the right direction, treat his employees decently and gets Sony support. With the buzz around Destiny Rising I don’t believe for a second it’s in Sony’s plan or best interest to let the franchise die.

1 AntwortenDid Pete Parsons just quit?

2 AntwortenI’m gona look at this with about four planets worth of salt. 1) I dont know the guys record other than he’s actually been in the studios working with the different teams, if certain streamers are to be believed. (And I’ll trust them as far as I can throw em) 2) I really want to believe that with the leave of Pete “Ima Buy Another Car” Parsons, there will FINALLY be some actual improvements. 3) This Bungie and Sony is not yet in absolute control 4) Battlefield 6, PalWorld, Minecraft, and Star Wars Battlefront exists. Worst case situation, there are options.
