I'm always fair & post the ups & the down, it's not opinion it's stats.. The slide has begun, currently losing around 30k players daily & now we are below the 'addict 500k' line. There's a very solid 500k who've logged in daily for many years & outside of totally dead periods it very rarely dips below, this is the alarm call to bungie - if you lose the addicts you're as good as sunk, this sign is worrying given people are now finding out they've totally messed up.

6 AntwortenWeren’t there reports a while back stating that Bungie themselves are aware D2 is in a “death spiral”. I’m just wondering if the current situation is ringing alarm bells, or predicted and planned for. Eg. the only thing surprising about the PvP population is that it’s taken this long to collapse.
Respect to Gambit. Still hanging in there despite being abandoned for so many years.
4 AntwortenPersonally, now this isn’t meant to be a personal attack so please don’t take it as one as I feel that I am as guilty of this as you are but in a different way, I don’t feel that you have been fair in the past. Particularly to people like myself that saw the writing on the wall with the changes to every system and “The Portaloo”. Many of us that heavily criticised the direction this game was taking have been vilified and quite frankly bullied by the usual suspects on here that defend every single asinine decision made by Bungie. (I’m not accusing you of these actions towards me, although you have been quite vocal and unpleasant to others on here that have criticised the game for the same thing you are doing so now.) I even think the classic, “Go play something else then.”, line has been used to the point that many people have done just that. I have despised the grind, and the only reason that I even bought this -blam!--ing “expansion” was because of many good friends who were purchasing it. Now I have enjoyed parts of the campaign, I have enjoyed some of the, mostly stupid, mechanics introduced on Kepler. I have enjoyed playing with my friends and clanmates. Have I enjoyed the game though? No. Most play sessions are just littered with incredulous exclamations of the abject stupidity of some aspect of the game. “What were they thinking?” ; “How is this enjoyable?” ; “Why you ask? Because of -blam!--ing Bungie that’s why!” And my all time favourite response to any statement of exasperation to Bungie’s decisions or actions is to quote Tom Christie’s Skeletor line:-
“You do know… what company…we’re talking about here?” Skeletor.
The changes to the stats and the armor have also been positive, despite the bugs and the stats not working as designed, even though I initially was not a fan of these changes. But the grind, the looming reset in Renegades, the abandonment of 90% of the game in favour of the boring Portaloo. Well I wasn’t wrong about any of that. Or the artificial difficulty being introduced. Just look at the number of cheaters in the Contest Raid due to its ridiculous difficulty as proof. I said before that you and I are part of the problem. We still play this mess of a game, for whatever reason. Bungie need to feel the same pressure, as do Sony now they are ultimately responsible for this franchise, that they felt when CoO was tanking and they were 6 weeks from being done. We need to just stop playing. I think that CoD, BF6 and BL4 are going to decimate what is left of the loyal playerbase. Many of us feel, as you do, like we are just -blam!--ing done with this franchise and the people in charge at Bungie that seem incapable of getting their collective heads out of their asses and make this game enjoyable for the majority of its audience, as well as those like us that are more engaged with the game. I do agree with your assessment of the situation though. I think this game and the studio are as dead as a chicken with his head being cut off. The chicken’s body is still running around the farmyard not realising its time on this Earth has come to an end. That’s the best analogy for this studio and this franchise.

18 AntwortenWell this was entirely unexpected… I imagine this data will upset a few forum members…

I haven't even quite made it to 300 and I am so very tired of it. I play Warlock nearly exclusively which took some big hits and this game barely even feels like Destiny 2 now. Even struggled to log in for the past couple of weeks and do what felt like chores to get about 20-30 more power for the week. This is shaping up to be the first Season since Worthy that I didn't finish most of my seasonal challenges, and aside from Witch I have stuck through thick and thin content. Maybe it's time to finally move on, though maybe Ash & Iron will bring back some of the magic, it feels like it will be more disappointment.

I logged in Tuesday looked at the bright dust item in eververse and logged back out, like to tonight played to 2 solo ops and logged out. Not to keen on d2 the arcade game

3 AntwortenIf these numbers are correct and don't improve significantly I doubt Sony will agree to anything past renegades it just wouldn't be worth it.
