Can't return to orbit after portal activity?
Jadedness and cynicism about being in a literal content loop aside, can we seriously not just "return to orbit" after completing a portal activity? We have to... I guess "continue" to the next activity, meaning 2 loading screens, and then go to orbit after loading in, or we can do what I end up doing which is "change character" as soon as the activity is done. This is clearly an oversight, I appreciate being able to "continue" immediately to the next activity, but that should be a function separate from 'return to neutral state'.

This is why I dont select the solo ops rotator. I just choose from everything below & customize the difficulty

u can exit to orbit if u choose an individual mission, instead of the full "playlist" but yeah, it's very annoying.

It's only in quickplay though. They have however messed up the "leave activity" on for instance lost sectors. If you leave you'll go to orbit and not land outside the lost sector - which is really annoying when you're trying to solo master, mess up and just want to restart.

2 Antwortenbeen saying this since day one. Bungie made the return to orbit thing a launch next activity button. You know because we need to grind for hours a day to get anywhere in old lost sectors and stupid content we have player 10,000 times. They are fixing it so it actually says continue to next activity instead of return to orbit. Bungie don't care!

2 AntwortenThis, I hate to say, is not an oversight. It is an, "you caught us, we actually meant this," statement. Oathkeepers as I've said in another post is a prime example of Bungie backpedaling on something that was actually promoted to say it would do but "forgot" to change it. Yet all signs show that it should have been the way it said it was or as it was advertised in highlight reels promoting the exotic.

Is it annoying? Yes but it's a petty annoyance. Chances are it will change where selecting to go to orbit at the end of a playlist activity will just let you go orbit and not continue.

1 AntwortenFirst couple of times I didn't read the command text, just pressed the button D2 normally uses for Go/Return To Orbit, was very confused as to why I'd been loaded into another activity.
