A lot of people saying the new tier system is sunsetting 2.0. It isn't. You can still use your old stuff, will it be as good as the new weapons and armour? Of course not, but guess what, they want you to play the game so of course if they want us to engage with new content, make the gear from the content good. The amount of moaning that's going on is crazy, none of you would've lasted back in year 1 D1. Not saying the game was good, but actually having to grind for things was great. The game is so easy at the moment. Nether isn't tough at all, storming through GMs wasn't something you could do at all, but now there a piece of piss.
I'm not saying that the new system won't have its flaws, but it's already looking better than the same one that's been in place for 11 years. Crafting was the start of the game becoming incredibly dull, revenant was terrible, but the lack of crafting was a step in the right direction, no more logging in on a tuesday buying the pattern then logging off. I'm sick of using the same stuff over and over again, change is needed.

11 AntwortenI find it humorous that you say
"none of you would've lasted back in year 1 D1"
like you are the only one left that was around at that time. I would think if you've been around that long that you might be sick of the same BS that's being shoveled. I guess some people will swallow anything repeatedly.

8 Antworten
The amount of moaning that's going on is crazy, none of you would've lasted back in year 1 D1.
I don't know if you remember but we literally all had this argument, year one too. To the point that they had to come up with Etheric Light so you could bring gear up to max power and then they STILL -blam!- all over it when they launched TTK with the new infusion system, that was again largely hated and had to be adjusted fairly quickly after launch. So no, this isn't some new player issue. This has been a decade of arguing. Every time Bungie has tried it, it's been lambasted and abandoned by the player base, and Bungie has to scramble to undo these asinine decisions.

1 AntwortenIt is a "SOFT" sunset. Which we as destiny players never had to get used to. Every mmo or game with mmo aspects do this upon release, or dlc release. You can still use your weapons and after some time you find new weapons that benefit you the most. Nobodys weapons is going to become obsolete all in one go.

1 Antwortenagree, but sadly this psot will get ultra downvoted by the toddler syndrome playerbase

Change is free What are we paying for?

33 AntwortenIt’s not sunsetting but it won’t be as good and no one will use it…. So definitely a sunset then

1 AntwortenSunsetting early in D2 and then crafting were 2 big mistakes. Can the game recover with the new system? Maybe, but imo it’s simple. Just make fun and new creative content and stop doing the bare minimum just to keep the game afloat.

Crafting would’ve been fine with Seasonal Loot if it you just got the patterns at the end of the season. Sort of as a way to eventually get the drops you’re looking for and can obtain the weapons even after the seasonal loot has gone away. The iteration they introduced kinda killed the grind.

1 AntwortenD1 year one was awesome, my favorite character gave me my favorite gun, Vestian Dynasty. Then the Taken King came in and killed my favorite gun. Forsaken came along after many floppy weak expansions that saw me leave for awhile, I then played the Forsaken and once again Petra gives me my favorite gun back a second time, I was ecstatic, my Vestian Dynasty back in all its coolness, and then we got the calm before the storm, they kill my pistol again, sunset, again. RIP Vestian Dynasty, twice sunset. Sure I can pull it from Collections, but it won't be any good in a Tiered sandbox, hence it is now sunset for the third time running.

I agree but there are also some flaws that are fair to criticise.
