Why do we have 4 weapon variants for one weapon?
We have a normal variant.
Then the adept variant.
Then the normal shiny variant.
Then the adept shiny variant.
Just why 😂. I’m all for grinding butttt??? This is why you need to bring back crafting. This is absolute nonsense. Your chances of obtaining the EXACT roll you want for these weapons are 0.00001%.
And the increased chances for adept shiny weapons are still no where. I have yet to see a single drop of an adept shiny in CoB or nether. Why even bring this into the RoTN event? For more grind?
I’m just sick of this “have players grind the weapon rolls” mentality.
Edit - in order to actually get Bungie’s attention (since I don’t believe they actually read the feedback forms), please upvote this, share it, speak your mind, do whatever. This has been one of the episode’s worst flaws that has yet to be changed or talked about.

People warned y’all that accepting the ‘grind loot for the sake of loot’ mentality would backfire. A looter shooter is about getting better loot to improve the gameplay, it’s a means not an end. Bungie and the streamers got you to focus more on chasing than playing. So of course the content is more about chasing than playing. Stop chasing. You don’t need adepts or shines. When they see the metrics dip, then they’ll change.

5 AntwortenWe need some sort of weapon perks amalgamation system. For example we have three no survivors in our vault 1. Heal+incan 2. Rewind+tl 3. Rangefind+tl We should be able to combine them into one weapon then activate one “row” of the perks. Lots of vault space would be saved and it’s not crafting either so rng element will be there

Grinding is a part of looting and shooting. However, because the vault space sucks I have to agree.

Stopped chasing loot ages ago, loot in this game became dull & mundane, miniscule jumps to stats, & most of them are reused models so don't even look appealing. They're clearly milking old content over & over & out only new thing are new perks on old guns, it just got tiring. I knew after reading id hate ghosts of the deep - I eventually tried today, what a miserable experience - I got extremely bored & confused & lost in the water part - the other guys raced ahead but I never got dragged forward, no waymarkers or pointers despite it being explorer mode so I just logged off. Years ago I'd have YouTubed & learned the route but I don't care enough anymore - sad really

Personally I don’t give a damn about the shiny (or whatever they’re called) version of the weapons. They don’t look that cool, in fact I think they make some of the weapons look worse. I just want the double perk adepts.

At the very least, we should be allowed to upgrade our weapons to the shiny variants or "upgrade" them for the unique looks. This feature should probably vary between the different types of weapons, but if we look at the ROTN weapons for example, all the weapons come with double perks already when you get gold tier rewards. Unlike the Into The Light weapons for example, a shiny offers no inherent advantages when compared to the regular weapons. But as for Heresy weapons? I'm less concerned about shiny weapons and more the fact we're STILL not guaranteed adepts from COB or Nether nor do we have a way to actually focus the weapons we want. Technically we do, but the Tome is a completely different source of rewards

I just wish there were more ways to reroll or customize weapons you get. Like, the idea of crafting barrels and other perks on adept weapons is a good idea. They should do the same for shiny weapons, though I'd argue they don't drop anymore. I haven't seen one since Jesus was a boy

2 AntwortenDon’t worry about Adepts now unless you are a very experienced PvP player. Adept stat bonus is tiny compared to base and is basically unnoticeable. Adept mods haven’t had a real place in PvE since Adept Big Ones was retired. So just focus on getting the rolls you want (and if they’re shiny, that’s great too)

Adept really isn’t very important. Of course many people (myself included) will still try for shiny adepts though. It is extremely frustrating getting such a rare drop without any perks you want though. Still have a few days to get a no survivors and greasy luck shiny adept I suppose 🤷🏻♂️

1 AntwortenAdept is now just a word they added to regular guns, they drop frequently and mostly with trash rolls. Adepts should be rare, like exotics used to be before they screwed that up too by making them quests, and always have an S tier perk combo.

Inflate playtime and numbers so the weapons can become obsolete/less useful the next DLC and rinse and repeat :) [spoiler]I love my hamster wheel[/spoiler]

I wish the shinies were ornaments that have a low chance of dropping. Then I could equip the ornament to a weapon I'll actually want to use instead of a trash roll that would take up vault space because it's the only shiny that dropped.

Leaving money on the table.
