despite the shatter and damage resistance buffs given to stasis i dont see myself using the stasis sub classes in content harder then shattered throne I just dont think shatter damage and damage resistance was the big issues only apart of them.
Edit| So I left out a few things i wanted to say in the original post that I will say now. Do you all have any potential changes you would add to stasis im down to listen to anything whether it be some thing minor like cooldown changes or some thing big like getting rid of aspects and adding new ones or new supers. I will also reply to some posts to share some of my own ideas aswell.
Edit 2| these ideas will def be tuned for pvp later. the only reason im making this is because i feel that now prism exists i feel all subclasses should be tuned to match its effectiveness in pve and stasis and strand are still lacking in variety in terms of playstyle (excluding between classes) and effectiveness (in some ways).
[keyword ideas]
frostbite. You can build this up like slow with some abilities once at max stacks (100) it will apply the frostbite debuff witch increases the damage and greatly increases the aoe of shatter. when frostbite is applied if you attempt to re apply frostbite it will refresh the debuff on the target and will convert the amount of frostbite stacks into slow stacks. this will be mainly applied by hunters but titans and warlocks will also be able to apply the debuff via fragments and super.
[grenade and melee ideas]
shatter grenade. This will replace the coldsnap grenade completely and on its own will seem weaker it will send out two seekers that wont chain however if this grenade lands near frozen targets or stasis crystals it will shatter them and will add more seekers to the grenade. Stasis crystals that are shattered will also turn into coldsnap like seekers and when they freeze a target they will duplicate the stasis crystal that was shattered near the target it hits. since this replaces the cold snap ill talk about touch of winter and osmiomancys later.
frost armor grenade. This grenade when thrown at your feet or allies will grant 4 frost armor and a good ammount of health a little less then cure x1 and wont activate anything cure activates (duh)
penumbral blast. (pve changes only for reasons) increase the aoe of penumbral and upon hitting a surface or target will spawn 2 medium sized stasis crystals.
withering blade. applies equal amount of frostbite to slow
shiver strike. (pve changes only) 2nd charge and secondary stasis explosion is larger. The charge can go further and faster.
[fragment ideas and changes]
(whisper of fissures) instead will spread frost bite upon shattering a stasis crystal or frozen target.
(whisper of hunger) decrease the melee energy increase slightly and will give way more health on shard pickup.
(whisper of chill) instead will grant %ability regen for grenade melee and class abilities for granting allies frost armor (your chill if you use this).
(whisper of chains) instead will spawn a cold snap seeker when shattering a stasis crystal.(wont go very far for pvp reasons youd have to still be really close for it to freeze).
(whisper of reversal) instead will decrease ability slow stacks and increase frostbite stacks +10 discipline.
(whisper of durance) include frostbite.
(new fragment whisper of erosion) makes your grenade give a moderate amount of frostbite -10 resilience -10 mobility (works with reversal).
(whisper of torment) while you have frost armor you taunt targets and increase the pve grenade energy regen even further.
(whisper of impetus) dont need to hit your melee.
(whisper of fractures) wont give frost armor instead will give a bit of melee and grenade energy.
(whisper of rending) stasis weapons do more damage to stasis afflicted targets.
[super and aspect ideas and changes]
if you are playing a stasis subclass and doing stasis damage you will spawn stasis shards this way we can get rid of the harvest aspects the properties of the harvest aspects will be separated and added to other aspects.
TITANS
howl of the storm- 2 fragment slots. Add a second set of crystals next to the first. stasis shards will grant 1 frost armor.
diamond lance- will be removed from being an aspect and instead will spawn when defeating targets with stasis on any stasis subclass.
(new aspect) brittle structure- 3 fragment slots. All stasis crystals you make will automaticly shatter after a very short duration this duration can be increased with whisper of durance
cryoclasm- 2 fragment slots. Lower cooldown for stasis shard spawn rate from stasis final blows
(new aspect) freezing fortress- 2 fragment slots. Casting your class ability will spawn a fog of stasis around your barricade slowing combatants and slowly granting you and allies frost armor and granting you a stasis mortar when the stasis mortars projectile lands it creates 1 medium sized stasis crystal
SUPER
lance of suspense- create a large lance made of stasis and throw it as it travels it will create a sonic boom behind it the sonic boom will shatter all crystals and frozen targets in line of sight if it hits non frozen targets it will apply max frostbite and slow. The lance can be picked up twice and thrown again if the lance hits a target it will release lots of coldsnap seekers.
meteoric crater- (this ones just for trollin) teleport into the sky and fall rapidly upon landing create a freezing/shattering shockwave that spawns stasis crystals of all sizes getting larger the further they are away once you land your super bar will slowly go down allowing you to change your spot and do it again.
HUNTER
class ability-
shattering dodge- a short range wave that shatters targets and crystals each shatter provides frost armor.
shatterdive- 3 fragment slots. Gain the ability to hold jump to glide in the air. your jump hight is greatly increased.
touch of winter- 2 fragment slots. Your dusk field grenade applys frostbite. (cold snap got rid of) Shatter grenade can chain between targets 1 time and has an extra seeker with a stasis crystal. glacier grenade crystals when destroyed create a stasis shard. frost armor grenade grants more health and 4 more frost armor.
winters shroud- 2 fragment slots. Gain the ability to debuff targets with frost bite and spawn more stasis shards.
winter solstice- 2 fragment slots. Your withering blades are enhanced allowing more bounces per melee and gain the ability to stick to targets that arent near other targets allowing damage over time. targets that are defeated or hit with a melee leave behind a aoe field of slow on the ground. you gain frost armor from stasis shards.
SUPER
silence and squall- applies frostbite
(new super) eye of the storm- summon a group of stasis buddies orbiting near you they provide constant slow and frostbite firing very quickly freezing everything in your way enemies frozen during your supers duration will spawn stasis crystals at their feet. all weapons and abilities can be used and your abilities recharge way faster
(new super) biting blade- summon a dual set of stasis swords. light attacks have a very quick attack speed and sends out slashes of slow and frostbite that can go through targets and does moderate damage. heavy attack does a quick horizontal slash that shatters everything it hits and does big damage. targets defeated with this super grant allies frost armor extra ability regen and damage resist blocking damage gives the same effects and taunt enemies.
WARLOCK
(new aspect) banner of wrath- freezing targets grants you banner of wrath witch grants you max frost armor and a constant pulse of healing. A ring is formed around you witch provide the same benefits to your allies. you also gain increased ability regeneration and target are taunted to you during its duration. defeating targets with stasis makes more shards before going on cool down(i know its literally banner of war but warlocks only have 1 good melee build)
(new aspect) other end of the staff- you gain an extra melee and grenade charge your melee applys max frostbite and has a shorter cooldown
iceflare bolts- not as many seekers and given to all stasis subclasses inherently.
bleak watcher- no changes
frostpulse- gains the ability to recharge class ability faster on freeze. spawn more shards with stasis kills and provides frost armor when picking up a shard.
SUPER
winters wrath- stasis shards apply frostbite.
(new super) winters chaos- throw your staff upon hitting a target it will create a radius around them that when targets enter will inherently increase shatter aoe and damage as well as applying frostbite to maximize shatter aoe and damage after a bit all targets in the radius will be hit by a shattering wave doing massive damage to the one in the center targets in this super can still move but are incredibly slow.

Personally speaking frozen targets used to take 50% more damage from all sources, I would very much like this back agienst pve combatants.

The problem with stasis is, it takes 2-3 actions to deal damage. While other subs deal damage in 1 action. To damage a target with stasis, you first need to free them either by building slow stacks or snap freeze abilities. Then you need to shatter them to deal damage. Compare this to any other ability which deals all damage on a hit, and is some cases, like ignitions, can build to deal extra damage. They could remedy this by causing all frozen targets to self shatter, just like bosses and ultras currently do.

My only issue with stasis right now is that I wish frost armor would fall off one stack at a time instead of all at once.

2 AntwortenFor me, the biggest issue I have with Stasis is that it's way too reliant on the Harvest Aspects. A significant amount of the subclass now revolves around Frost Armour, and the only reliable way to get it is with the Harvest Aspects, basically cutting down your Aspect options to one Aspect of your choice + your class's mandatory Harvest Aspect. If Frost Armour had been better integrated into the subclass, the way Bolt Charge was with Arc, I think Stasis would be in a much better spot right now.

Stasis was kinda mid last act with an artifact that focused around it. Last act artifact should be added to the every day stasis kit for all 3 characters and still buff silence and squall and winters wrath, titans glacial quake was the only super that felt good in PVE

Part of it is that Stasis has no access to heals in the subclass. Sure, Strand doesn’t either but Woven Mail is leagues better than Frost armor and it allows you get to cover or make and pick up an orb to heal yourself. It also doesn’t really help that the original nerfs to the cooldowns on Stasis are still there. Every ability takes longer to come back on Stasis compared to any other subclass. I would say to pull back on those original nerfs and probably buff the Warlock Super as it still struggles even if sole easier content. Hunter and Titan Supers are strong but could probably use a little love as well. Other than that, the Stasis Warlock kit is pretty damn strong that you definitely don’t need the stasis shard aspect for it to be good. Hunter’s kit is okay but it does rely on its shard aspect a lot. And Titan is honestly pretty good as well. I think just some love needs to be given to stasis as whole. Revenant did good with its small buffs but that artifact really carried the subclass hard.

1 AntwortenMy biggest issue with stasis is that it doesn't have some inherent way to heal and it feels slow Mask of fealty really made the hunter enjoyable last season especially with icebreaker. The increase shard regen fragment or transcendence on prismatic really helped its pve spam capabilities. But stasis titans kit needs alot of help. Absolutely great super although it does feel rather situational. Warlocks kit is unfortunately better on prismatic and that hurts me, albeit it is great in pvp. Slow and freezing isn't a bad loop but outside of gms it's substantially quicker to just kill with other abilities

Like Stasis and Strand are dark powers, and the game has just over focused on being more bad than good. The Gardians have kinda become Taken/Hive Pawns almost, and being a side assassin for Drifter. I always thought Guardians are of the Light or good, not becoming a Hive/Taken agent. I’m kinda ready to go back to being the awesome, respected Guardian.
