I love PvP in this game. I can't really find many faults with it. The gunplay is stellar. The abilities are fun. The maps are fun to play on...
However... I get a bit fatigued with the team shooting dominance in the game.
Having a gunfight that you lock in to is great. You're in and out of cover, maybe jumping around, using your abilities, ads'ing and then hip firing then from out of nowhere, a second dramatically tips the scales and you're probably not winning the 1v1 anymore and if you do, you're most likely getting cleaned up by the other(s).
In competitive this is more so. As I said, I do enjoy the PvP but going up against 3 guys who all play close together while using pulse rifles and scouts and just standing far away is a bit boring at times. Which is compounded by having team mates who don't get the memo and just start lone wolfing it, getting a 0.28 k/d at the end of the match.
I know some guns have perks when standing near teammates... Like team shooting isn't already an advantage to begin with. I aren't sure if many people feel the same and they enjoy this way of playing. Maybe I'm the exception. It does get a bit frustrating and boring personally.
Not sure if it's a huge demand on something that might not be easy to make happen. But I wonder, would it be doable / well received to make a game mode (modes?) Where you get debuffs from standing near teammates?
Having 2 players standing firing together is already an advantage. For the lone wolves who like to make plays, it would be a lot more enjoyable I think.
Would love to know what everyone thinks.
DISCLAIMER: I don't want to argue or seem like I'm hating on the game because that's not the case.
