Consecration Nerf is an Epic Fail
It does [b]NOTHING[/b] to address the core issue of [i]Prismatic Titan[/i].
.
[b]Nerfing[/b] the [i]Ability[/i] should've come in the form of its relationship with [i]Frenzied Blade[/i] giving it [b]3 charges[/b].
.
This hurts [i]Sunbreake[/i]r infinitely more than [i]Prismatic[/i].
.
[i]Transcendence[/i] is still a major issue. [b]9-12 Consecrations[/b] per Transcendence will still be enough to cook [b]Endgame Content[/b], 55% nerf or not.

2 AntwortenI feel like Prismatic Titan was the best “balanced” of the Prismatic kits at launch… felt kind of mid until you BUILT into going Prismatic as often as possible. This is because Pris Titan actually feels like a second super and you actually want to pop it as often as possible. Warlock and Hunter have some utterly broken neutral combos but their Prismatic grenade and spam feels kind of mid.

They really didn't think through prismatic. When it was revealed, I knew it was gonna cause balancing issues. A subclass that has access to a bunch of other subclass abilities, is gonna create problems. The nerfs they implemented just because of prismatic, should only effect it when on prismatic.

Initial wave damage currently at base is currently 4343 and the secondary wave impact is 50,694 for a total of 55,037. This excludes scorch damage. With the upcoming change to consecration the initial wave will deal 1953 and the secondary wave will hit for 22,810 for a new total of 24,763. Remember ignition damage isn’t changing remaining at 43,452 (at base) add this to our new wave damage for a new total of 68,215. If you take the old total of the wave damage and the ignition comes to a total of 98,489. If you look at what the changed total damage will be compared to the current damage it’s going to be a 30% nerf at base. The main issue is that this affects is sun breaker more than prismatic so I hope this could be directed to only prismatic. I hope this helps you understand it’s not 55% total nerf more like a 30% nerf in total. “Note: When reviewing the damage-cost ratio for certain abilities, it became clear that Consecration was doing too much for too little. We didn't want to take away from the dramatic pop moment of landing both waves on a target though, so we kept its increased Ignition damage bonus and instead reduced the wave damage. We suspect we may also need to adjust the Ignition damage in the future.”

The nerf is only to the wave, not the ignition. The ignition is 90% of the damage. This isn't nearly what most thought they would do to it. This isn't bad at all. Severance/Contact or Synthoceps is still going to be OP.

1 AntwortenPrismatic consecration was nuts, and needed a nerf. HOWEVER, this makes unbreakable titan that much less viable as an option. Not entirely sure why they couldn't specifically target the ability under the prismatic subclass, but it's a fail either way.

Try using the bastion exotic with it, it's like it was never nerfed. Also Monte Carlo with that build slaps add in pyrogales and you are still gonna cook regardless of the nerf.

As soon as I saw consecration AND 3 charge frenzied blade I knew it was there to catch our attention boost the class so ppl would want to play and then nerf it 6 months later. And right on time here comes the nerf.

ads that shoot your ghost, then disappear when shooting them is poor developers .like gl's magically killing from a ad bullet. the game is getting so stinky cheese anymore. just like 1 strike a week . to whom ever is running this trash needs to fix the game first to heck with nerfing anything .you have way bigger problems then worrying about balance.

This is why I say bungie needs to think about the use case, not just the numbers. They "can" kill an ability with numbers but that doesn't necessarily address why it's good or gets used.

This should only affect Consecration when Frenzied Blade is equipped.
