oooOOOoooOOOooo I'm going to have to stand 2-3m closer to you in order to .67 you in 6 bullets. ooooOOOoooOOooo now instead of just titans and warlocks i have to 6h eVeRyOnE (not really headseeker will probably make it 5h1b hunters still).
This nerf is literally going to do nothing. I'm still going to be able to get at least a burst and a half on a player that moves more than 1m out of cover. I'm still going to be able to peek shoot a player like aggressive frame hand cannons from damage fall off distances. I'm still going to be able to 1 burst slug/pellet swap faster than a players "buffed" smg/sidearm kills me. I'm still going to entirely shutdown lanes unless I'm triple teamed.
The only thing this nerf does is make another weapon archetype non viable for average players. The correct nerf is to nerf the 340 fire rate to a ~.73-.75ttk. No 340s are not going to feel like 450 4burst pulse rifles with this rpm nerf they will still be very unique. What an rpm nerf will do is prevent a 340 abuser like myself from easily doing all the heinous stuff I've mentioned previously as effectively or in bungies words "oppressive".

2 AntwortenI bet you a D2 cookie you hardly see them after that unreal light weight pulse buff. If you have any hair you haven’t pulled out fighting high impact pulses this change will take care of that

12 AntwortenAverage destiny player Gun they use - “Stop asking for nerfs, you nerf herder!” 🤬 Gun they don’t use - “Nerfs are necessary for balance.” 🤤

1 AntwortenI honestly think you’re right with your overall evaluation of taking the weapon out of the hands of average skill players and I think Bungie is ok with that. The usage will come down and the weapon will remain effective for a section of people. I think the range nerf is actually the biggest nerf and will mean 340’s can’t be used on every map optimally and they now go head to head in terms of range with Rose in high skill lobbies. An rpm nerf but keeping the range and forgiveness like now would actually make peak shooting more viable on the weapon and could be used like 120’s now but let’s see where this ends up cans go from there

4 AntwortenIt looked like a huge nerf to me because it didn't even really make that much sense to my brain. It just looked like they basically said "340s have been discombobulated." I'm sure some people will still be able to use them, but "lowest range pulse" takes a whole lot of people out of the equation. There's some movement things that make those guns more or less powerful as well.

3 AntwortenI want to note that whenever a nerf goes far enough to take something out of the meta it's "overreach by bungie", "anti-fun", "play bungie's way" stuff like that But when they try to tune a weapon in a way that leaves it still usable while also bringing it more in line with other stuff in the meta, it's "erroneous" "not enough" "not gonna change anything" Like, yeah. That's the point. They're not trying to make a massive change. Good things don't come quickly. Balance is a long battle against an enemy that is constantly shifting.

4 AntwortenThe range nerf only really hurt the bad pulses. With Elsie’s you just have so many stats that you just move stuff around for a little more range and you will be fine. With zen moment it’s just ridiculously easy to group the bursts very tightly. Especially with the better recoil patterns.
