Those Jim's should die on the control point for you, so you can go off and slay like a good boy!!!
Lol. What?
I don't care about being a slayer any more than I care about being the one to play the objectives. Though many in the community have a propensity to lean to one over the other.
A "good boy"? I'm not a dog.
I understand the direction the game is taking is a worse version of itself.
Bungie blamed prismatic abilities and things to challenge at mid - long range.
Something should be done. And soon.
Not sure what your goal of this topic is... I honestly dont play control anymore, just Mayhem and some IB when its around and not overlapping with Mayhem (like it is this week).
To point out how the game is slowing down and becoming and increasingly less enjoy experience to participate in even for long time players.
I like my ranged weapons, but also not afraid to take them mid range and try to hold strong map positions. I just want to have extended range dropoff and play a bit hit and run at times (which is why I like 200 LW scouts). I play what I enjoy playing with, not necessarily what the best option is. If I am not going to have fun with dual primary off meta stuff, then Im not going to play... and thats my choice as a "weak" PvP player.
That is your choice.
Them adding more forms of cheese aren't suddenly making you or other players like you play any more than you ever did.
But it is making long standing players leave or play significantly less.
I play solo, and try to play and support my teammates when I can. So I like to have extra range to be able to hit em if I can see em. I do cap some zones, and contest the heavy, and try to win the games...

Then this post is in no way about you and I hope you continue to do so.

I dont like the cheese in the game, I dont like a lot of what PvP has become since Beyond Light due to abilities which take the players out of the game for an easy kill (cheese in my mind). Even floaty warlock was a mistake to bring into the game in my mind, completely circumventing the sightlines established in the map design. The current state of PvP isnt what I enjoy, so I dont play it anymore. At one point, I really loved the PvP in this game, but that has gone now. Nobody in my clan plays PvP, heck most of them dont even PvE anymore because the season is horrible.

Many of mine have become a lot less interested as well. Between crafting and the meta the game feels worse. Not better. Hopefully people will speak up for what they would like to see more of and what they need to see less of before there's no population at all.
