Yeah its a huge problem in PvP. Most of the time.

It drastically reduces skill floors/ceilings across both fronts of the game.

Bearbeitet von A_mo: 12/5/2024 5:28:51 PMYeah it used to be less so in PvE until someone had a lightbulb appear above their heads. I haven't even talked about my culminating final shape experience. Legendary, and I thought lightfall would be the pinnacle in certain regards.

Prismatic has ruined the game. Across all fronts. . But MAN is PVP INSUFFERABLE these days because of it.

PvP was worse in the immediate years before prismatic. They at least were able to balance it enough that it wasn't as bad as classy restoration or the titan metas or some of the invis stuff. The game is also altogether better in terms of gameplay than it was back then if for no other reason than its progressively gotten better since crossplay in a lot of ways.

I've never been competitive in the PVP arena, so I can't really speak to it. As far as my casual experience, I most certainly get folded by quite a bit of ability spam by folks on Prismatic in PVP. Doesn't feel good. I've only played IB since. the Final Shape dropped, and that was the FIRST rotation of it at launch of TFS and then last week. I recall it being infinitely worse as far the 'cheese' catching people out and rolling them with abilities, or chaining absurd abilities for space/kills. All in all PVP from my casual experience has been garbage. . Still need that loot though so, yeah....

But its not worse stasis, light 3.0 or even strand when that came out. Strand kind of got the hand cannon treatment after it was out for a while. Where only some people were "good enough" to use it. I would love to go back to less abilities all over the place but then people will just complain about there not being enough abilities and say destiny is about the abilities.
