Solo Player's Rejoice! Exotic Class Item Obtainable without Dual Destiny!

This is great for you guys, i am happy for y'all as a person who started D1 solo-no-mic and mainly played destiny 2 solo-no-mic over the years.
There's no attunement for you guys doing this method but that is a fair compromise for not doing the mission.
Enjoy grinding for these.
But i swear if i see y'all complain about no attunement, zero sympathy from me from here on out.
Edit: Pick up a class item for each class if you are a solo player!
Below is my refined take as to why I support this (For people **W.H.O.* **RECENTLY* come across the post....the censorship is so bad wth.):
[spoiler]I 100% believe solo players should have access to class items solo, since week 1 of the mission launching i have held this belief. I just never thought that bungie would do a half compromise like this. And I actually think its really fair.
Part of Destiny has always been about shared experiences.
TTK in Destiny 1 had the exotic swords that we spent countless hours farming patrol resources for the exotic drops. (10 exotic materials for your sword could take you anywhere from 5-12+ hours of gathering patrol resources).
We all did this solo, or with out buddies to pass time.
Cut to current day, the people who earned the class items via dual destiny, we farmed for hours opening chests (patrol resource equivalent) or doing overthrow public events with pure RNG.
There is a reason why the Exotic Sword Quest was such a memorable part of Destiny 1, it was a shared collective experience that did not exclude people from experiencing it.
It wasn't a fun or bad grind, but it had one of the best exotic weapons in the game that held up into rise of iron.
There is a reason why Microcosm & Exotic Class Items have caused so much controversy over the months. It was a needless exclusionary experience, that has yielded really good/mixed reviews over the quality of the items.
Earning the Exotic Class item through FOTL, allows for players to start their (Patrol Resource Equivalent) chest farming/ public event farming. Just like the rest of us.
And if they want attunement they can do the mission. Just like the rest of us.[/spoiler]

1 AntwortenHonestly I don't care its a gimmick chase item just like that exotic sword is. If I felt that strongly about it I would've done the stupid mission already. Glad bungie gave casuals a freebie but who cares life moves on it's not that serious. I don't get why people get so up their own @$$ about this stuff.

26 AntwortenSo we're stuck with not even the partial bad solution of attunement to fix the garbage way Exotic class items came out. What an overall complete disaster it was. 1 in 64 options isn't a solution. Once again it's a classic Bungie partial recognition of their own problems they cause yet are not fully willing to fix.

But I enjoy seeing the delicious irony of elitist players doing the exact thing they accused us of doing: crying and throwing a tantrum. Some of you need to learn a new word it seems: COMPROMISE. 3 AntwortenI'm happy about this as a largely solo player. Eva still wants 2500 candy for them and my RNG is pretty decent so I'm good with taking my chances. That said, it will allow me to fart around with dual perk prismatic builds while still working on Dual Destiny to get the attunable one.

Why the excitement around this? Unless I’m missing something, it’s temporary - for 2 weeks. I guess that’s better than nothing, but IMO, it’s another feeble attempt. They still have their head up their asses…

3 AntwortenAt last, Bungie (or Sony) has realized that listening to a vast number of players concerns and acting on them, might just turn this game around and hopefully bring players back. I was very pleased to see that the Pathfinders have been rightly modified, and news of exotic class items should be greatly welcomed by the solo players. Although I'm in a clan, I was a big campaigner [i]against [/i]the Dual mission, and I still haven't done it, so this will give me a huge incentive to farm Festival of the Lost, even though I find it tedious. I guess this will spark a volley of asinine comments from the solo-haters on here, but hats off to Bungie for this. Plus, it's great to hear that they are looking into "weightgate". Something that we all know exists, although probably not intentionally, but at least it has been recognised and hopefully addressed. Things seem to be looking up......maybe?

You know what’s even funnier these are the same type of people who complain there’s not enough content on the game as well. It’s funny but also don’t complain about content no more if you’re not willing to play the content to get said items. Little disappointed in bungie but oh well. At least people get to use them now I guess.
