I actually like Act I…
Title. First time forum-user here (or at least in some time)
Been playing the game since D1 beta. Definitely had some ups and downs but felt like I had to come onto the forums because I don’t understand the hate for this new Episode / Act. Everyone asked for less week-to-week slip and they gave it to us. I don’t know what people expected.
I for one really liked the first act. Solid setup, better antagonist setup than Echoes, a mission I thought was OK with some really cool features I enjoyed (really liked the Crow companion, really liked the creeping in Scorn when talking to Fikrul, everything goes crazy, etc.)
New tonic system is still something I’m getting used to, but overall I think this is a step in the right direction. The devs can hear complaints elsewhere, and I agree that the Seasonal / Episodic model needs some work, but I like what I saw from today’s update and wanted to put it out there.

2 AntwortenI have to say your story sounds like nothing but lies. I don't believe you have been playing the Destiny franchise all this time. If you did, there is no way you'd be okay with the current state. My guess is you might have played D1 and quit after it got too hard for you, but just came back and found this to be easy enough so you like it. Either that or your just an employee trying to drum up support.

I've heard some crazy stories on this forum, but to come up with what you just did, WoW! 😄

2 AntwortenI think the tonic system needs work but otherwise I like stasis changes. I like onslaught. And the weapons this season complement my play style. Plus saint 14 accidentally giving me the new hand cannon was really nice. 😊

Are they about to raise the bright dust prices because it seems like you can get an awfully lot from the pathfinder now. There's a such thing as silver too ya know.

3 AntwortenThe problem isn’t the episodes themselves. Part of the problem is the part of the community that plays this game 24/7 and devours all content immediately. They will never be happy. On the flip side there’s bungie. Promising episodes will be bigger and meatier content drops and we just got 2-3 hours worth of story for a 6 week period.

Core activity loop is great. New shaders and loots great. Story is mid.

I'd be perfectly fine with the game right now if the PvP wasn't constantly taking my dedication for granted. And I have my eye on the stasis titans.

Oh yeah it's awesome that it broke the game so much caydes fate can't be completed. Its awesome that people who just started can't get out of gr3 considering its entirely crucial that one doesn't stay there. Its not like putting the game behind an arbitrary system entirely dependent on quests that bungie chooses to break while asking for 100$ a dlc is reasonably deplorable to people or anything. No all that criticism is invalid because some random in the forums feels some kind of nostalgia with no frame of reference for the valid criticism. Stop

I enjoyed the story and the lore - as well as the new Onslaught. HOWEVER, hardly any content (imagine if that was split into 3 weeks…. Would have been shocking) and the terrible tonic implementation….

I always DISLIKE: - the amount of time I spend in Social Spaces (where thanks to the complete lack of social features its basically a STORE RUN) - Having to load into those social spaces - Having to REDO the same content OVER AND OVER AND OVER again for “MacGuffin Reasons”. Last episode it was the Encore Exotic Mission. Seriously. Wtf? - Having to do all THAT for an Alt. - ALL the Fetch Quests. We’re GOD slayers but yeah; I gotta mix tonics and go get radialarium samples for the LITERAL THOUSANDTH TIME I’m done spending real money on this game. Used ti spend at least $500 annually. (Go ahead. Judge me.) Now I’m actively hostile toward Bungie. Eff em. Edit: Except whoever on that team gave us Vault from the Inventory menu. That mother******** rocks.
