Improving Destiny?

Just throwing out the question… [b]what are your ideas to improve Destiny?[/b] Sequel? Systems? Stories? My thoughts… [u]Loot[/u] Enhanceable random rolled loot is what Crafting should have always been. I honestly think crafting patterns should be dropped and rolled into a system that requires a copy of the gun with the perk you want (in the slot you want) that makes the loot grind still useful as you search for the pieces to build your 5/5 roll. Armor needs a chase. Set bonuses or intrinsics that make having multiple pieces from a set useful outside of the seasonal mat/currency. [u]Exploration[/u] We need a system to scan and interact with the world outside of guns. Most of the quests are too handholdy. Give us a way to scan and look for stuff that might be hidden… and let the player actually have to think about solving a problem in a quest outside of talking to another character. I’m thinking of things like the Black Armory puzzles and stuff like that. Engage us more with exploration. [u]Gameplay[/u] Onslaught was such a breath of fresh air back during Into the Light. Flex that creative muscle some more using PvP maps for PvE… unique uses of assets. Don’t be scared to alter the persistent environments (like the Cistern area on Nessus… why isn’t it changed in patrol?). This keeps the game fresh. What do you all think can/will improve the game and bring people back?

  • So many things were stolen from us when they STOLE content we paid for from the game. That should all be brought back 100% free for anyone that purchased those dlcs. Each area should have a ton of enhancements that tie into this current story and the old campaigns should have multiple versions of legendary modes to solo or team up against. The old raids should be brought back with Classic, Master and unique weekly modes. All loot should be saved in collections when it's a random roll. We can re aquire any random roll we get with perk sections highlighted showing what we have collected so far. All loot in our vault should not have to be managed how we do now. Tons of players stopped just because of the endless sunset/useless loot cycle because they want one of each weapon/exotic. The current portal custom modifier should be available for all modes in game. Each week should have random mega buffed weapons for pvp and PvE making people use things they never normally would. Custom solo and fire team runs should have unique triumphs that give really cool loot and titles for completing activities with all bows shotguns etc. Random teleporting champions with unique modifier powers should spawn and hunt guardians when doing almost any activity. The enemy minions should learn your tactics and change how they fight. New modifiers like prismatic, void, arc, solar, strand auto cycling after you super should be a thing. Changing grenade types, melee, even weapons in your inventory at random if you die or after killing 20-50 enemies etc. Sparrow racing events and random sections in strikes where a raid boss servitor chases you would be great. History jumping mode where you have an endless random quest, dungeon, strike run that teleports all over time. I could go on forever. Send me a message @Bungie.       - A fresh start with D3, maybe. If not a prequel of how our guardian died, or the story of the other vanguard and main characters would be cool. - More rewards, whether it’d be more materials or weapons, no one wants to grind 30+ minutes for 1 drop. - Seperate PvE and PvP balances. I want to feel powerful in PvE, not have to tickle a dreg while it slaps me once across the face and I get flung like an anime character. - Make PvP endgame worth it. Goes back to the rewards thing. New emblems, new shaders, sparrows, emotes, finishers, anything. - Better bosses and mechanics. Tired of the stomp mechanic or the immune phases to artificially make it harder when it’s just annoying. How tf do wizards even stomp when theyre floating mid air, do they just release a succulent fart? Make the bosses harder, or with better mechanics and they won’t have to add stomp or immune phases 🤷‍♂️

    • IMO: Base Game: If they go in the direction they are currently talking about for Frontiers, with Apollo / Behemoth, and 4 free contact packs under two medium sized expansions that to me seems like the right direction. I like the idea of making more of a : Choose Your Own Adventure style story and game play. If you can actually pick what part of the story to unlock/ play, that will really make it feel new again. Currently it’s too much of the same. I would also add, make it possible to skip, for FREE, Story content on Alternative characters. That way if I want to play story content on my alternate character(s) I can without needing to reply everything to get to the same content. Crafting: Could we maybe have craft-able armor? Maybe let us move stats around on Masterworked items. New Light: When I first started, once you completed the mission and got to the tower, you had access to all of the , then light 2.0 powers. A few times I decided to remake a guardian and start over. (Maybe it’s changed since but:) The last time I did that, you now only unlock a few of the abilities, then get to the tower and have to buy all of the abilities. If you are a new light, I assume, you might not have resources right away to buy everything. This seems like it would put New Lights at a disadvantage from the start. I would suggest: Light 3.0 + Stasis should all be unlocked for free. Maybe there could be a few “Walkthrough “ quests to play for Light 3.0 and again for Stasis, but once completed all abilities for those then would be freely unlocked. Also, it doesn’t seem to do a good job of connecting you to the story. Like it doesn’t seem to give you a good reason why you would want to be a guardian. Giving some kind of guidance to the game would be helpful- like what to play. I feel like guardian ranks kind of do this, but they could be added to a main tab as what to work on next.

      • Make patrol missions like the ones where you kill a important target actually difficult out just make patrols more impactful Makes missions involving ships let us fly and shoot them

      • I like your idea about the interactive environment but what came to my mind was something along the lines of 'Metroid: Prime' and the way we scanned areas for hidden switches, symbols, secret passages and the like.
