Choir of one nerf
While i agree that the damage it's fairly high reducing the ammo reserves will basically make this gun usless.
We would need to have 3 ammo reserves just to make it somewhat viable.
Dont gut the gun with both a nerf to damage AND reduced ammo reserves.

Oh great they’re going to make it useless like Prometheus lens. Yeah create a decent gun to nerf it to trash. This company is just dumb. We like to feel powerful not weak.

2 AntwortenWhelp, into the vault it goes. I already struggled to maintain ammo for it even not using hipfire shot. Right out of the gate it seems to have some kinda reduction in special ammo bricks dropping that no other special has. Seriously, use any special weapon you see green ammo everywhere. Use this and suddenly it becomes scarce as heavy.

Surely I'm not the only one who saw this coming? The big clue was the big build up to this episode. All the new artifact mods buffing auto rifles in act 3, a highly advertised unique exotic auto rifle earned from a new mission, and all the town cryers (streamers) shouting from the rooftops that auto rifles were gonna be meta again. I thought it was a clever ploy to attract players back to the game, and going on Bungies track record of poor game testing, it was obvious to me that it wouldn't be long before changes were made. Now, we've been told it will be nerfed in a few weeks so have some fun until then, but this highlights that it is not a bug, but was actually programmed this way, as bugs that give players an advantage are usually fixed within 24hours or the weapon actually disabled. I haven't tried the mission yet, but I guess anyone who has the weapon should be grateful that the nerf won't be immediate.

After the nerfening it will have to be built into to raise it above the mid level that Bungie seems to prefer for it's exotics, long term. After all, got to make room for the next hype wagon to leave the station and do it's thing. You think we are getting regenerating heavy sword ammo for fun only?

I have it since Thursday, and after reading about the "couple of bugs" on X yesterday, I already placed it into my vault. I don't need that few-weeks-of-fun Exotic Assault Rifle. Not like that. With all due respect, I heard so many fairy tales from Bungie, I don't believe them anymore. If they had thought harder about it, they did not have to do, what they plan now with Choir of One. They just should let it as it is, and replace it in the next season with something better, but an option like this is out of the question with Bungie's regular in-house nerf-parties. And, by the way, Bungie: there's a lot more to identify!

1 AntwortenIt’s only good in PvE activities a nurf does seem a bit harsh especially when we have only just acquired the weapon. Allow us time and let the community have some fun for a change.

Worst idea ever to give an auto rifle special ammo, just another reason players get tired of the game and leave it.

Been using it to overcome some solo content hurdles. Got the Warlords solo yesterday so working on the other dungeons that I’m missing now (Duality, Prophesy, and Ghosts). Gotta get them in before the ammo fix comes.

3 AntwortenBest solution for a nerf, don’t touch ammo or damage, however when used by a group in a fired team, reduce overall damage by 50% if three or more members have the weapon equipped. This way solo players can still utilize the weapon in its normal state. That would be a far better solution.

Just leave it. Actually having fun in the game with it and has made me realise what the game Should be about. Will I get a refund on 700 for ornament?? Don’t be crap bungie,make the game fun.

You know, watch the merry-go-round of "durrrrrrr" come full circle. It's comical. They pretended not to know how much ammo they gave it, how the reserve mods [i]they[/i] made work, and it's interactions in the game [i]they[/i] made would go. So either they don't know their own game... at all, or they didn't test a single thing other than it functionally shoots projectiles. Lmao! Bobbing for apples in a tub with no apples in it. 🤣

3 AntwortenFor those who don’t know the way Bungie explained the nerf is that a) hip fire doesn’t break when you hit a divy bubble (fair) and b) cut reserves from 400~ to 200~ The issue is that you can only get 400 reserves from 3x reserve mods, but they didn’t mention reserve mods. The most likely outcome will be that choirs reserves will be cut in half across the board, which would make reserves look something like this: 3 Reserves 382 -> 200 (worse than current no reserves) 2 Reserves 355 -> 188 1 Reserves 303 -> 160 0 Reserves 250 -> 132 ( a little over 5 mags) Rip every YouTuber shilling onslaught lol

It needs an adjustment, melts every boss in the game... no special weapon comes close, most heavys can't compete either. It's stronger than every lmg... except grand overture & thunderlord... both require more setup. You can combo it in BnS rotations. They talked about 2 factors: Too much ammo... true, BUT... you'll be able to kit for that change... so no change. 2. Not supposed to get the crit dmg it's getting with Div when hipfiring. Both those things don't seem that bad to me - as an adjustment. Btw... we don't even have onslaught yet. 😁 We don't have destabilizing... you know how rewind rnds on outbreak are like a suped up version of the perk? It think the onslaught and the destabilizing catalyst for Choir will receive similarly enhanced potency.

Its going to depend how much of a reserve nerf its getting. If its losing a magazine, I don't really care. It's lame they didnt bother testing, but I dont care. If its gutting half the ammo, now I care. We shall see.
