TRIALS Passage of persistence does not work per 8..0.5 update

Update 8.0.05, While in a three-person fireteam, losses will not remove a win from Passage of Persistence. This is incorrect because a loss removed a win and required me to reset my card.

    • Trials is an industry…it’s an income stream for YouTube/ Twitch Guardians, who cash in on their endless stream of paid carries; who ‘pay’ via real $$$ and/or by ‘subscribing’ and maybe win a raffle - for a ‘guaranteed’ trip to the Lighthouse. The same applies to the PvE crowd re Raids / Dungeons / GMs / etc. No problemo! It’s down to the individual on what works best for them. Booster Services also are available for those so inclined. Again, no problemo! IMHO: BHQ missed out by not awarding licenses to a select group of individuals and teams, to promote and provide carries for a market-driven fixed fee, which would be split 4 ways… 1. Service Providers: Team / Individual @ 30% 2. BHQ @ 30% 3. A BHQ or other nominated Charity @ 30% 4. BHQ Admin @ 10% to run the enterprise This way, everyone benefits…including the ‘end game’ modes, the satisfied customers, and overall, the game itself. I’ve posted previously about this…how, through competition, teams / individuals could qualify to become Service Providers via The Wall of Fame - where the top team/player in end game activities can apply for a license…to provide such services. Obviously, transparency and accountability are fundamental to such a proposition…though it would be very doable and well received - if done properly from the outset. Meanwhile, back to the now… Aside from the current ‘paid carry’ option, the greater majority of Casual PvP gamers steer clear of Trials - for a variety of reasons, eg, lag / latency - which creates too many suspicious encounters, real or imagined; P2P - it’s just not capable and needs updating to dedicated regional servers; active cheats and network exploiters; the paid carry industry in its current form; stompers that prey upon the individual casual player but squeal and whine when they’re obliged to face top tier players; a shrinking population - as usual, as has happened before…as Trials withers on the vine once more… I’m realistic enough to know that nothing like the a/m will happen in D2 under current BHQ MisManagement…but, maybe it could or might - in D3…if/when the swamp is drained…the garage is gone…and fresh new hands take over Destiny’s destiny! Persistence Wins: the only way this card can work is for individual players to gain 7x wins regardless of losses over a Trials event. Period. There are no other requirements but that. And the rewards should be a normal trip to the Lighthouse…or the weekly adept weapon…it’s an option for the player to choose. I’ve no issues with a special set of emblems or shaders to signify and differentiate such persistent epic Guardians from other epic Trials Flawless Guardians. Both sets of players are deserving of such recognition! This old 0.3% tortoise, salutes you all! 🫡 Ease Springs! 😎

    • You're not supposed to reset a persistence card. You must have lost two in a row, because then you lose one...but either way you keep playing because there is no such thing as a dirty card. Hence the name. You play til you hit the seven wins and claim your adept.
