Suggestion for PVP ONLY > Exotic Weapon Modifier
What I mean is vote for there to be a modifier that [u][b]excludes Exotic Weapons[/b][/u] in that PVP mode.
This can be applied to any mode.. but specifically meant for casual play in Control.
Proceed with the hate below but remember your opponent won't have their exotic crutch either. Please > be creative with your hate.. we have heard the Destiny is a space magic game enough.. include why you can't survive without your exotic weapon.
I also think this will increase Crucible fun in general for everyone.

1 AntwortenThose are some great choices. Either agree with you or insult yourself for picking no. Why make a poll for something but give 3 choices for yes to have people agree with you but not allow anyone to answer no without an insult. Makes sense.

Most exotic weapons suck as it is (Graviton Lance, No Time, Handcannons in the middle tier), legendary weapons have inconsistent damage, and the movement is goofy feeling most of the time. And most of all, these supposedly egalitarian things that make the game "fun" for everyone almost always end jacking everything up for certain players more than others. Its been enough with the "fun for everyone" modes. There's already enough of them in the game and you can't get away from them if you try most weeks. Not to mention that it wouldn't make any difference anyways due to the way the game actually works and it would be nothing but another band aid solution based on giving comfort to the people that know the least about what they're looking at. The only way I'd agree to that is if the gameplay worked in such a way where you'd be unlikely to want to play it anyways.

I would think an additional, separate ‘Control - No exotic weapon’ playlist to gauge interest in the concept would be the way to go. That would allow Bungie to see if it gets more players than the normal version of Control.

Idk if this really changes much. There's only like 2 exotics in the game that currently beat out legendary weapons and even then not by much. At least in pvp.

Most of my loadouts don't use exotics, so, maybe. On one hand, I feel it goes against the spirit of destiny, and a lot of interesting specialized builds use exotics weapons that just cant be achieved with legendary guns. On the other hand, exotics are where most of the unbalanced weapon pain points come from, and it would affect me minimally.

11 AntwortenStopping players from using certain weapons like exotics in a looter shooter would just be detrimental to the game. What would be the point of grinding out the Khvostov quest if you couldn’t use it in the main playlist it shines in? I know I wouldn’t have bothered doing it.
