Are streamers openly getting favoritism ?
It's just a genuine question because if this is real why is it if a regular player was found doing this or breaking TOS they would get banned but someone who has raised money for bungie gets off with a warning why ? After final shape being stellar this is the last thing I'd think bungie would want to be labeled with especially since people already believe that streamers get special treatment are they just trying to confirm it ?
I'm not accusing anyone just merely making commentary from this video discussing it and ultimately I'd just reassurance to know regular players and more well known players are held to the same standards.

Bungie claims to be 0 tolerance when it comes to breaking their TOS and will result in ban, no appeals, nothing. Proven by players like Cruz who had ArtMoney open, thus breaking their TOS. Or Baken who legit was cheating and broke the TOS. Well known content creators/streamers who didn’t get a slap on the wrist. But now, Leo here posted a video of him committing network manipulation (yes Network manipulation breaks the TOS) bungie even calls him out on it, he basically goes “Yeah I know lol I am network manipulating” and from what I know, no action has been taken against him. So is it really 0 tolerance?

Yes they have, but they try and keep it as quiet as possible because this iceberg runs deep. You got stuff like Salt and his friends, people who have won raid first multiple times get caught cheating calling into question there multiple raid first's. Also you got Destiny streamers and YouTubers getting free silver every month so they can get all the new eververse items. Then there's their RNG which somehow seems to be waaaay better than the normal players So yeah they get favouritism.

4 AntwortenWhat this streamer was doing has been in the game since d1. Remember the great crafting glitch? That was done by network manipulation. Hundreds if not thousands did this glitch… Did bungie ban people? No. If you are in PvP doing network manipulation, it would be a ban. You may get a suspension as warning if there is not a pattern… The issue in PvP though is that by the time a player has been caught, they have been doing it for a longer period of time and their gaming history would be the evidence to warrant a ban. But you most definitely would not be banned via a one time incident. If you do it every day/week in PvE, you would most likely get a suspension as a warning and then banned if you continued. Bungie has acted on big streamers before for a multitude of reasons… This incident is a non issue and Bungie, via evidence, shot out their warning.

Yes, they always have. Seems like they always get the god roll they want after only a few tries. Get the raid exotics to drop with only a couple runs. Or how Bungie gives them free silver at times while everyone else has to spend real money to do so.

Yes it is favoritism if we have examples of non streamers getting insta banned for similar offenses Can we point to any? Anyone this happened to before ?

Yes. This isn’t surprising. In most walks of life the ‘important’ people get preferential treatment. What I think about it is immaterial.

Bungie "claims" that they have a zero tolerance policy, but really this just shows they don't. Is it preferential treatment, absolutely. He's a streamer, a well known one so bungie decided to just give a small warning. When asked about it they responded really just saying that since he didn't get very many rewards with it, that it's just a warning. So much for zero tolerance, so much for fair treatment, and really just makes me lose most of the respect I had for those working at bungie. Granted this is my opinion, but it's what it seems like to me based on the situation

Because I've seen so many people do this that I've had people ask if I know how to do it when I'm running. I don't believe I've seen a single person get banned for doing this.

1 AntwortenIt’s not favoritism if likely no one else has been banned for something comparable ever. I’d rather they make their stance very clear before banning anyone as they have allowed things like network manip (Crota) and external tools and automation (like macros) despite these violating ToS. Draw the line more clearly, then enforce.

Someone already called it favouritism in response on twitter and bungie replied stating it was a warning for everyone due to how unclear the ToS are when it comes to VPN usage. Stop spreading streamer hate BS.
