I still have the old mountaintop so I decided to test it both pve and pvp....Oh boy it was not very good. For pve on direct hits on red bars it did win kinda? It deals 45K direct and 15K blast for a normal gl 38K blast and 15K direct as for anything above red I think it was 35+14 and a normal gl 35+14. It also has the accuracy penalty from before so DON'T JUMP if you jump it tends to go off in some random direction. I could see some spots it being nice at but overall eh. Btw it has next to no blast radius so no it can't be used for ad clearing like other gl's.
For pvp it deals 60 blast and if you get an impact hit you'll deal 120 damage. I think that's about as strong as fighting lion pretty good. It also still has the accuracy penalty.
Edit: One thing I think they did do was lower the penalty and remove the floor penalty but I did still get some wildly insane shots (One going almost directly down when pointing straight)

4 AntwortenBearbeitet von jhermannITJ: 4/11/2024 10:32:49 AMDo you want to know what real testers do? It will be a wake up call, fair warning... click the link: Updated for Season of the Wish Credit: Mossy "Your damage is dependent on both your guardian's overall power level and your weapon's power level by two independent multipliers, and won't give you any benefit beyond 1595 AFTER ADDING ARTIFACT LEVELS. e.g. a 1580 weapon +15 artifact = a 1590 weapon +5 artifact = 1595 = maximum GM damage. If your weapon + artifact level is below 1595, it will do less damage, even if your guardian is at 1595. If all your gear is at 1580 ePL, you deal 17% less damage and take 36% more damage than at 1595 ePL". Which is what I said. The exact metric is 99 from delta... 1800, that's 1701... any weapon below that is bottomed out on the floor. Your testing shows the minimum possible dmg, and I just proved it with the link above. You don't have a MT that breaks the floor at 1701. And you ALWAYS test weapons at the current delta (1800) 😉. Power isn't 1to1, there's a scalar... and weapons bottom it out if they're too far below the delta. As the above quote explains in his theoretical example... even if you got 100 points through the artifact the testing would be flawed - because the weapon's power is so far off delta... the weapon wouldn't show the correct numbers (delta viable Mountain Top)... You won't do 1821 damage with MT (old version, non-delta viable), IF the weapon drops below the floor, -99 from delta, even if your character shows 1821. This is what Mossy does... this is what I do. 😇 👍💠 You're out of your league. Use this as a moment of growth and teaching... abandon your hubris and negative bias, study the document... learn how this stuff actually works mechanically in-game. Learn how to test properly... not like a youtuber... like a tester. Am I still roleplaying? I know your flunkie said that, but I wanted to touch base.

11 AntwortenWe are talking about the old cool Mountaintop 1.0 which got nerfed into oblivion after it was sunset. Mountaintop in its nerfed state is not the true iteration of itself nor does it do justice to a true legend, it used to one tap everyone from across the map making trades with Revoker in PVP and Trials, even Calus was scared for his Leviathan. The new Mountaintop is basically a 2.0. You will have many perk combos, and of course the rocket-jump movement from firing while jumping, pair with Eager Edge and Skating its going to be fun. New Mountaintop won't need to exist for damage if it can help speedrunners and OoB skips.

31 AntwortenBearbeitet von jhermannITJ: 4/11/2024 5:54:52 AMSo, you have an 1800 Mountaintop? How'd you get it? Because unless you have a delta viable version, you're testing means nothing. We'll find out Tuesday 😉. MT was never for add clear... It's for focus. And to accurately test a weapon it must be able to hit base delta which is harp cap (1800). Because weapon dmg scales based on the activity delta. That's why Maven tests in Hydroponics Delta, because the adds scale above raids. Someone serious about testing wouldn't do what you've done... especially since we get the gun next Tuesday. This is hate baiting propaganda. Any who actually cared about the facts would have waited. It's probably going to be the best breech GL, in the game. Maybe be the best legendary kinetic special weapon. This is just like the fake metrics you gave for QS. It's still great, btw... still an S tier exotic primary for endgame PvE... want proof? One sec: Quicksilver Storm (Before & After) credit: Maven

2 AntwortenMight be viable for some dps rotations however it has tough completion from izanagi. The rocket jumping still gives you a lot of options for movement tech so that might make up for the gl itself being lack luster for just add clearing and non boss encounters

11 Antwortenpatch notes say the S12 airborne nerf was reverted. If the old version still has it, it's because they didn't care enough to do anything more than remove the pinnacle perk and swap its frame
