Just like the matchmaking in the pvp aspect of the game, from what I played we went into a full circle back into vanilla d2 before forsaken. Yea we can still use special weapons but the state we’re in there isn’t a need for it. All it is, is run back together and team shoot with primaries. Jeez that feels familiar. Why use a special when we can team shoot with scout riffles then up close we can use a sidearm or even an AR. Even tho some things are a bit different like our energy weapons aren’t in the heavy slot anymore but feels like we’re just wasting time and money on a system that just went back to how things were. It’s pretty much headed in the way d1 ended and it’s horrible. I enjoyed d2 cause how different it was but same mistakes are being made. It may not be the way it was before but it’s pretty parallel.

2 AntwortenThen you clearly didn't play in Y1.

This is definitely not D2Y1, I’m not sure why you’re comparing the two sandboxes

5 AntwortenNo one is using a scout rifle. Certainly, no one is using double primary with an AR as their close-Range weapon. That makes zero sense. There are more teamshots, but I fail to see why that is a bad thing.

1 Antwortencan you tell me where you downloaded the new version of d2? i can't find that in my game

I haven’t seen an increase of camping in Comp. People are still playing aggressively, just without the constant one hit fusions/shotguns. There’s a bit more room for primaries now. They are still going to be tuning this. If camping is becoming too frequent, they can adjust the special ammo meter to be more generous (I suspect they’ll do this). It feels a world away from D1Y1 for me.

You are absolutely right, it dies like d1

Im with you, im a PvP main who suffered through d2 vanilla and what we are at is so slow and boring. You dont get hero moments and the second you nearly get a kill they just hide and then its back to slow peak shotting across the map.

I hate saying this but even though we get some special, the rate to get it back is pushing everyone to the back of the map and teams are team shooting again. They do need to increase the rate we get special because it’s quickly turning into d2y1 unfortunately. Not that the ammo economy is the same but human tendencies are taking over.

5 AntwortenI’m disappointed in every single one of you! I was so excited for primary gun fights and skill and you all devolved into team shoot hand holding in less than 3 hours!

2 AntwortenBearbeitet von A_mo: 3/6/2024 11:03:09 PMThat might be what its like in Control, but it being like that is at least as much due to the sbmm as anything. Maybe sbmm needs more special and only time will tell. Other than that its not like vanilla because things still killed far slower and vanilla had far less abilities to begin with. It was also 4v4 in PvP. Speaking of which, now that the game is having different and sometimes more competitive modes like the way countdown is more competitive than rift and 3v3 clash is more competitive than sbmm elimination, maybe one day there can be a 4v4 mode just for the fun of it. Also. Countdown is far, far better than rift ever was.

17 AntwortenCurrent crucible is nothing like Vanilla D2 PvP.

What’s with the increase in Bow users.
