Literally feel like the meter is an answer to shotgun and fusion rifles cause they refuse to re work them. You will see a lot of weapon switching after they shoot the free shots they get at the beginning of the game(especially in 3v3 modes). While I like the idea of focusing more on primary weapons I don’t think a special ammo meter is the answer. I could be wrong these are just an old washed up player’s opinions.

Special weapons should feel powerful, so rather than nerf them, the meter will just reduce their uptime slightly (and give primary guns a little more room to breathe). It also encourages players to engage with the opposition and objectives, in order to get more ammo.

7 AntwortenYup the meter is a terrible idea. They just need to nerf the obvious special weapons that need it and call it a day. 90% of the changes there adding to pvp look absolutely terrible imo.

6 AntwortenIt was either this or special ammo crate like in D1 and you know how that ended up The special ammo crate might work if theirs 2 spawn each time not one at a certain time because it just incentivize special camping for one team like the heavy crate

I’m still shocked that a burden of guilt killed me form far away lol

Fusion rifles destroy the need for primary weapons that aren’t long range.

7 AntwortenI was shocked too. How will you burgers shoot 2 witherhoards and die 20x a game without unlimited special.
-
1 AntwortenApparently it works in checkmate, and, according to every YouTuber under the sun, that gamemode is TOTALLY RADICAL BRAH. I’m interested to see how the health increase interacts with less-than-normal damage types, like stasis shatter damage and poison damage, and also DR in general.

Shotguns are not an issue, and fusions rifles only have a couple outliers. The special meter was great in checkmate, so I have no doubt it’ll be great in the rest of pvp. Not losing special on death feels good, because often times whenever you had more than 2 shots of special, you felt obligated to use them before you died.

The entire update is just them hoping nobody will mind them replacing the base mode with a toned down checkmate which probably is gonna backfire like when they tried forcing checkmate and the unpopularity resulted in an update after like a week where you could pick to not do checkmate

both guns are fine nothing to work on them, this new crucible changes are perfect
