oof 13,000 active trials players 😬 yikes. Hate to see a competitive playlist die. But it is what it is. Hopefully bungie fixes the playlist up sooner rather than later because I foresee this playlist not lasting at the current rate.

1 AntwortenI matched a clan mate once, and another friend 6 times, in solo. Queue time is also longer than before . I feel like this season comp survival is the go

4 AntwortenDamn just checked Trials Report, youre right its sitting at 13k right now... Isn't that like really bad considering its the start of the season?
-
Nobody playing when everyone already has. Messenger 🤷🏿♂️. Need new guns every season 👍🏿
-
1 AntwortenPeople who play trials are either streamers or they don't shower. There's likely a high percentage of overlap.
-
That PvP Strike Team (haha) is hard at work y'all!

2 AntwortenBearbeitet von Scourged One: 12/4/2023 6:19:37 PMAh, yes. Trials is dying oh teh noes!!!!! It isn't. The entire game is in a bad spot, plus many people aren't happy with BungLe's bungling as of late. PLUS, the Adept Messenger has been around for years. Nobody is in a rush to get it. So yeah, low population should be expected. The entire games population is down, quite a bit. It follows the top tier PvP, old loot us Trials players have legit had for a looooong time, results in less playing. 🤷♂️
I foresee this playlist not lasting at the current rate.
Oh no! Who would’ve thought that removing Freelance and turning it into a Capture game mode would ruin it?!

Bearbeitet von Guardian, Archon Of Light: 12/4/2023 11:42:34 PMI don't think it's meme anymore, Destiny is sadly really dead this time, because the addicts that kept it alive finally got burnt out also I am still going to return often to pay my respects though

Wouldn't opening to f2p solve this.. I imagine 3-6x pop? -
Well trials has a way of self-destructing given the predatory nature of its flawless “win requirement “. I went in just to get the new strand trace rifle. It dropped early, I handed in a few engrams got a better roll and a nice rapid hit / incandescent Iggy’s as a bonus (lighting up hive with it has never been so satisfying) and that’s it for me for a while I think. Maybe if there is a bonus rep weekend I might change my mind, but it’s just a means to interesting loot (don’t care about adepts). I sure as hell don’t go there for a good time lol.

2 AntwortenI’m one of the people who has never played trials, due to it looking simply too toxic, difficult, and frustrating to be worth my time. I don’t see a single good reason to play and I’ll continue not to all season most likely.
-
Eternity is a weird map and pulses aren’t popular for the adept reward. Also, numbers a probably down everywhere.
-
No new loot to chase means potatoes like me aren’t going in to get slaughtered. Pretty simple. It will spike when the weekly challenge for 7 round wins comes around and that’s it.

8 Antworten***snipped and reposted***

Trial players probably not having easy time these days, being matched against similar skilled opponents lead to their exposed inadequacies. Most of them probably can realize now “ A fox can only be a king of the forest if there’s no tiger “. 🤣
As a 0.3% Senior Tortoise who plays Trials for bounties / weapons / gear, and PvP regularly, it was interesting to read the posts in this thread. Caveat: I play for fun. If I really wanted to go to the Lighthouse - it’s easily done; but, I don’t! That’s not why I play. The old chestnut of sbmm vs. CBMM has been going on since D1Y1. In those days, my armour was tissue paper and my weapons fired popcorn and party streamers. And just the sound of a Suros or Vex M - meant it was game over! PvP has been through many changes over the years, some good, some not. The biggest issue for fun playing Casual Solo players like me is/was we just aren’t going to stay and get pub stomped by bunches of mid-tier mommy’s kids who squeal whenever they meet some real top tier players! I love meeting up with top tier players, or, as is more often the case - being on the receiving end, because to watch these players in action is an education in how it’s done! ✅ Trials is NOT the preserve of ‘experts’ only; this is a common fallacy and a basic misapprehension by the many - especially the 0.5% +/- Club, ie, the majority. Trials has withered on the vine several times over the years…because players like me refused to get farmed by stompers looking to pad their stats. All I want is a fair scrap against players at / above my level…and a bit of good loot, and fun, at the same time! Yellow belts vs. White and Orange belts is okay! Blue belts vs. Green and Brown belts is okay! Black belts should only match against other Black belts. The problem is, and always has been, that white/yellow/green/blue belts are fed to teams of brown/black belt stomping crews. ‘Twas ever thus!❌ Those stompers squeal and snort - ‘git gud, kid’…’skill issue’…blah…blah…🤡💩🤡 If you’ve ever seen a karate kid movie, and the bad boy kids who bullied anyone not sporting a black belt - even in their own dojo, well - these are the mommy’s boy stompers to which I refer! Nah! 🙄 In a properly run dojo, such bad people are ruthlessly rooted out and removed. Anyone who knows, knows! 🥋 Lag / Latency / P2P / xim / kronus / cross-console / lack of a proper ladder system/ etc… these are the main reasons why things are the way they are. Until they’re sorted out, nothing will change. FWIW: I’m grinding Trials at the moment…and having a bit of fun, too! 😁 Anyhoo, just my 2 cents. YMMV. Ease springs! Cheers! 🥋🫡
Also, 7-wins accumulated over a Trials event regardless of losses will invigorate the number of players in a heartbeat! ✅ Ease springs! Cheers! 🫡

4 AntwortenBearbeitet von A_mo: 12/4/2023 2:55:21 PMTrials population depends more on what everyone thinks of their experience with the game as a whole than anything that gets out in it. Second to that would be what gets put in it. I personally can't put another messenger in my vault. So I assume I'm not the best trials player a lot of people might have that. And it's the first week of trials but the weapon isn't brand new. You can kind of assuuuuume other things with that being like that but those are all only assumptions.

It's also during the dungeon launch weekend. Lots of players are grinding the dungeon. Next week I think a lot more players will be in trials
-
11 AntwortenThat's awful considering it's first weekend of season.
-
3 AntwortenThey’re killing the game
-
1 Antworten13k players but my KD has never been this high at the start of a season🤣
-
Just weighing in as another viewpoint, I'm mostly off destiny rn but would usually drop back into trials when it was up bc it's my favorite game mode. I'll be back in it when I feel destiny has better to offer me or I feel I've put season if the wish off long enough it's not like I don't have the time. Day 144 gonna be dead AF tho be ready for it l.

3 AntwortenBearbeitet von Seki: 12/3/2023 10:22:31 PMSubstract half of these who are posing as cannonfodder just because they want the pve best in slot weapon bungie maliciously put there.

I honestly didn't think they were running Trials this weekend
-
The new weapons not worth it to me this season, I'll play 20~ games when the challenge comes up
-
19 AntwortenThat’s sad seeing there’s a lot of people playing this weekend. You’d think more players would want that Strand Trace Rifle.
