Question and possible problem.
When using the companion app to message people, they never respond. When I message them in game though they will. I'm wondering how players see your messages you send in the app, does it work like a whisper (when sending a message in app does it pop up for them in chat in game.)? If not, then is this a bug?

If you message them on the app, it goes to their app or their bungie.net account messages. It does not go into their whispers in-game or any kind of in-game chat. No, it is not a bug. You cannot message someone in-game using an out-of-game platform.

Depends if they care enough to A. Use the app. B. Check their notifications. C. Have notifications on at all. D. Banned from direct messages and can't respond. E. Don't meet the requirements to have that feature unlocked yet. F. Have the requirements and is bugged out, for a good portion of us, including myself.
