Before some block head starts listing off garbage we can do, I want to clarify: there’s is nothing to do in this season WORTH DOING.
The new activities LOOK cool, but it’s just the same crap we do every single season and all of the loot is garbage (don’t tell me the hand cannon is good in PvP, I have both adept trials hand cannons, adept palindrome, rose, ace, etc. - no one needs that hand cannon). The PvP and vanguard smg’s look fine, but let’s be real…I have the ikelos, calus mini tool, vow smg, adept trials smg….I don’t need them. I don’t need titles, I don’t need seals, I don’t need goofy -blam!- gUaRdIaN rAnKs…Even crota will last a couple weeks then I’ll be done.
Seriously Bungie, I have a few ideas for you in order to help the hardcore players stay engaged:
1. Come up with some actual NEW types of content (murder mysteries, PvEvP ZONES- not gambit, battle royale game modes, BETTER objective PvP modes, quests like Skyrim and the Witcher where we actually interact with citizens, etc.). Spice up the seasonal content. No, I don’t mean put a “twist” on the upgrade module. I mean do something COMPLETELY different. Just Jam Pack a season full of off the wall quests.
2. LOWER drop rates. Yes the casual gamers will cry. But ignore their cries. You hand out loot so that you don’t leave out little Jimmy casual player and he’s sad cause he doesn’t have the god roll like I do. Guess what Jimmy? I play more than you. I earned it. If you lower the drop rates, we will play longer. Simple as that.
3. Random rolls back on armor. Yes everyone loves to customize their armor and the ease of modding them out. But I swear, I feel like I haven’t changed my armor set since artifice armor was introduced. Random rolls makes us work for it. It’s a looter shooter, let us GRIND for loot.
4. Stop making the aspirational grind for TITLES, SEALS AND GUARDIAN RANKS. No one wants to grind for that. Idgaf about that garbage. I don’t need 500 clears of a raid using all subclasses to know I can beat the raid easily. Focus the aspirational grind back on GOD ROLLS. That’s what D1 used to be about, and that’s what we fell in love with.
5. Pump the world full of BOSS Specific Loot. Yes, I mean take the concept of strike specific loot, and start giving each unique boss a unique item they drop. Make the drop rates LOW. Make us work for it.
6. I’m going to get crucified for this, but sunsetting is a normal aspect in several MMORPG games. If the casual former CoD/Halo/CSGO audience doesn’t understand that concept cause they’re so -blam!- and immature because “I WaNt My LoOt NoW aNd I dOnT wAnT tO gRiNd FoR nEw LoOt AlL tHe TiMe” then tell them to get over it. This is a LOOTER SHOOTER. Getting new loot is THE POINT.
It’s time you alienate the casual gamers instead of the dedicated grinders. We built the foundation of this core audience. Casual players went and cried over anything that “forced” them to play this game for more than 5 minutes. NEWS FLASH: those players don’t even like the game ANYWAYS. Why even bother catering to their whining?

Bearbeitet von Ogma: Destroyer of Worlds: 8/28/2023 4:05:09 AMOther than keep up with the weekly story on Tuesdays for however long, I think I only care about crafting the fusion. I’ll eventually play Crota but I’ll be busy with Starfield for a while. I’d LOVE to have something to add to my weekly content, like dungeons for example. However, they don’t feel worth doing with having no focusing or crafting. No one in my various groups wants to run them because of this. With each new dungeon we stopped running them sooner and sooner. Ghosts lasted about…. three weeks? Then everyone was done. Having no focusing or crafting makes them SO incredibly unrewarding. I’ve never gotten a single actual roll I want from a dungeon weapon in this game, ever. I’ve been gaming for over 30 years and chasing dungeon weapon rolls in this game is easily the most frustrating and disappointing experience of my gaming life. Also, I wish the Hero Nightfall matchmaking was all the Nightfalls for the season.

Didn’t read your entire whining post. 1) Go play something else. 2) A video game can’t complete your life. 3) Maybe it’s a you problem.
-
I got about 2 lines into this post before realizing it was a complete waste of my time. Just delete the game and move on.

3 AntwortenYou’re wasting your time. You’ve already gotten the get good, touch grass and the good is old play another game replies. This forum isn’t for Bungie anymore it’s for caustic players to make remarks of no use other than to make themselves feel big.

Season just started lol.

Why even bother catering to their whining?
Here's the thing: Most of us have lives outside of this game. Families to care for; jobs to grind (instead of your "grind for loot" perspective); lives to live outside of a -blam!- videogame. This entire rant of yours sounds like a person that needs to get a grip on their own life before spouting off an "alienate the casual gamers" motto. I play to disengage and unwind from my long -blam!- work days and weekend days with my daughter (playing Dad for 16 hrs. while the wife does her job thing). I don't play to grind so hard my hygiene and meal-planning goes for a forever vacation. Oh...and... I told you anyway. /trigger

1. Touch grass. 2. You are a troll 3. Just block me already. That will bring me joy knowing you threw a fit like that
-
Just play Gambit.
-
"It's time we alienate casuals." Ah yes, alienate the people who make up the vast majority of players in game. That surely won't completely kill the game or anything. We get it. You're a gatekeeping elitist.
-
"I don't have anything to do, so let's reduce drop rates" Worst. Take. Ever.

Touch grass

The hand cannon is so -blam!- and the best pve perk u get is collective obligation. Idk why it didn’t get hatchling. What a waste.

Some people do like to play this game Casually. Some people don't have a lot of time but they still want to play the game

1 AntwortenI agree with the sunsetting and will even take it a step further. Take crafting out of this game. This is a looter shooter, not a crafting shooter. It takes the need to actually grind for guns and gear out. People also didn’t all run the same -blam!- because EVERYONE can literally have the same loadout of “Meta” weapons. People used what they had until they finally got that “Godroll” and they always had something to chase. Now it’s; I get to hold on to my guns forever and on top of that I only need 5 red boarder weapon(not even if I have a deepsight harmonizer) to be able to actually build my Godroll and essentially have nothing to play because these other weapons can’t replace my built and hoarded weapons.
-
Just play d1 bro
-
I completely agree with you, Nicolas. I must admit that I used to be one of the people who was agaisnt sunsetting, but after playing each new season over and over, one quickly realizes that sometimes there's no incentive to farm the new seasonal weapons because in most cases, they're not better than weapons from previous seasons, leading to a loss of interest at times. This game has become too casual.
-
SILENCE, 7, every single one of these takes is a massive L.
-
Disagree, completely.
-
Bro, you need to touch grass. I'm happy for you if you have the time to play 30 hours per week, but players like you is the minority, sorry. The majority wants to play 10 hours, and play other games. Also, I agree with you for one thing : sunsetting. All the community cried (not the "cASu" part) but the loot isn't interesting when you had godrolls.
It’s time you alienate the casual gamers instead of the dedicated grinders.
OP read Rich Dad, Poor Dad & went in the entirely wrong direction lol

1 AntwortenI mean this game has been around for a long @$$ time. Pretty much anything “new” has already been done on a different game or is a reskin of something from the past.

Point:1 i can get behind, bungie should mix up activities take risks explore other options. I wish secrets were a thing on patrol zones, puzzles, etc. Different avenues to aquire loot/past season weapons, armour, and ornaments. But with data mining, it would be plastered over the Internet the same day. Everything else is just a rant. Most companies these days farm casuals for loot(cash) lol.
