I remember back in the early days of D1, going to the moon for the first time.. fighting the hive in the dark, the music, the glowing eyes, the jumpscares.
It was actually a little scary for me back then.
It would be great to see more horror brought back to D2. Maybe a little more sophisticated now that much of the playerbase is older, some psychological horror maybe, something to really add some flavour back to the game.

11 AntwortenI wanna see blood and guts splatter across the screen every time I blow an aliens head off.
pg 13 ☹️
1 AntwortenWe've woken the Hive!
-
2 AntwortenThey added horror, Its called internet connection and maintenance
-
3 Antwortenat no point was that scary.

I agree with you BUT remember it was 9 years ago. Within that time you have matured more. They did try to add more of a horror feeling back in shadow keep with the moon update.

Bearbeitet von Ghostfire239: 7/4/2023 12:12:43 AMI don’t think Destiny ever had any horror in game. I wish it did but the rating pretty ruins that possibility. Anytime they try it just falls flat. I wish the game was rated M so that we could make the enemy races more frightening.
-
Maybe if the game was rated R but it’s T.

Bearbeitet von Kouz_MC: 7/3/2023 4:22:48 AMYou’re just not 8y old anymore. This game was never scary, and certainly not dark! First time we enter the hive, and first time we enter Crota where dark, only because there was little light. Nothing to do with “horror.” Destiny can never be a horror game. Not even dark ambiance. Ever. Even when they kill characters it looks goofy/we laugh. The only horror of this game is management.

Horror was never IN Destiny lmao.

Quirky marvel joke, take it, or leave it
-
I'm all for it

That's a refreshing thing about Diablo 4, in the first minutes , people are having there guts ripped out in a blood sacrifice , Lilith would make any Hive God run for the hills But Bungie clings to that T rating , imagine if we saw what the red Legion done to civilians in the red war, or how all the bones got into the House Of Devils Lair, D2 doesn't appeal to mainstream players anyway, so why not ?

Id rather have stability before horror.

4 AntwortenBearbeitet von The Hermit IX: 7/2/2023 5:24:46 PMI personally enjoy the darker vibe like they did with season of the Haunted. The armor is still my favorite in the game. There was a lot of negative backlash for it being too dark (not my opinion). DMT quest was pretty dark too and I loved that. I did see some of the leaks that point to FS being a pretty dark overall. I’m all for it.
-
lmao, who thinks this game is scary? kids do There is nothig scary, its just glory, the glory of lightfall especially the techno advancement of humans.
-
There’s plenty of horror in this game. The constant “contacting destiny servers” jump scares, the fact my player just won’t turn no matter what my controller settings are. The sheer cost of the game versus the $hite content. What more could you ask for?
-
2 AntwortenI loved the darker tone D1 had overall, it felt like we really were just fighting to stay alive. Now it almost feels like nothing is a real threat. We need something major to happen that knocks us down a peg.
-
The people with the ability to create d1 atmosphere are long gone.
-
1 AntwortenHorror? Add silver paywalls to weapon and armor slots. Instant jumpscare for anyone.
-
8 AntwortenIt's all gotten too happy, clappy. Bungie have lost themselves a while ago and are too busy embracing being politically correct these days rather than give us content that wows.
-
The real horror is seeing the error codes, then you get desensitized to it
-
Oh there’s horror, just not the way you’d expect 😉
-
A touch of fear would be nice
-
It was never that scary, you probably got older. It never really had horror if all you named was some stuff on the moon, when 80% of the game wasn't.
