I'm creating this topic out of desperation, trying to garner any knowledge that I can from players and/or community members about the current state of Bungie's servers. The catalyst for me posting something was today having yet another solo flawless attempt of Ghosts of the Deep ripped away from me. This was one was specifically an anteater, last time it was cabbage... I mean, it's essentially a different named error code every time. I know Bungie has had server issues off and on like the plague for a long time now, but in recent months it has seemed to hit some all-time lows. Getting kicked from activities when my internet never waivered should not be such a frequent event, in any game, let alone one that is fully dependent on a constant connection. Now, after having a third solo flawless run of the new dungeon torn away from me due to yet another error code, I feel obligated to say something and try to find out if anyone else is as upset about the server issues as I am, or if anyone knows if Bungie is doing anything proactive to try to stabilize the game. I have never experienced something so frustrating in Destiny, nor any video game for that matter, that it nearly obliterated my enthusiasm to be investing my time in that game. Solo flawless runs are such a uniquely difficult thing, and to have them crushed through no fault of my own because a game that requires a connection to a host server can't facilitate stable connections for their players feels almost.... personal. And that's coming from someone who has grown up on video games and knows the pain of corrupted saves on gameboy color era pokemon games. Of course I'll try it again eventually, but, a certain amount of damage has already been done. I don't have any sort of platform on the internet, and I don't presume to think complaining about the problem in a vacuum will do anything. At this point I am simply curious to hear about other peoples experiences, or to learn anything I can about where this is (or isn't) on Bungie's radar. Best case scenario is that it gets a conversation rolling that someone of some partial importance in the company might see. Eyes up guardians. PS: if any mods see this and you feel I haven't chosen the right forum category, instead of BANNING me with no warning for an honest attempt to fit a complicated subject into the most potentially relevant category, please just ask me to repost this in a different category or just take the post down or something.
