Hey all,
I don’t love to come on here and complain. But I have some serious concerns about the rising lack of care with each release both expansion and season. What I’m even more concerned about is long standing updates being removed when the game is more expensive than ever. Listed are my concerns:
-No ritual armor refresh with Lightfall. (This was PROMISED to happen each expansion, and didn’t happen with Lightfall and I haven’t seen Bungie comment on it. It was already bad enough that the ritual set was the same across all 3 vendors with Witch Queen but now they’ve just not done it at all.)
-No trials armor refresh with the latest season. (Trials armor refreshes have happened on season 13 & 17. It has been a year since the last refresh and there has been no word on the next set coming.)
-No bright dust cosmetic set with Season of the Deep. (There has NEVER been a season without a bright dust option for the eververse set. I understand if a collab set needs to cost silver but there needs to also be a regular eververse set that is attainable via bright dust and silver. The perfect example of this is the last time there was a silver only set with the Assassin’s Creed collab there was an additional regular eververse set available as well.)
-No cosmetic raid banner for max clan rank in Season 20. (An obscure feature for sure. But something that has been updated for the last 19 seasons no issue. But now has not been updated again, with no comment from Bungie.)
-No exotic weapon icons with Season of the Deep. (Another small careless oversight or removal. The Navigator and Centrifuse both do not have unique icons like all other exotics in the game do at the bottom left of the screen next to the ammo counts. No comment from Bungie.)
When the game has done nothing but go up in price, it is DAMNING that things can be removed from the game that have been longstanding traditions of a release with no comment from Bungie. The money gouging from them in the last couple of releases is insane for no higher level of quality with the releases. I hope we get comments on these issues soon. I really do love this game I play it almost daily but nothing hurts more than to see is be thrown on the back burner when it should be headed to a triumphant moment with The Final Shape.

9 AntwortenI actually don’t care about any of that, I’d be totally fine with only 1 set of armor and 1 shader across the whole game lol.

1 AntwortenI just want them to actually care about the core game OUTSIDE the seasonal model. They give us nothing! Barely any REAL Strikes No Crucible Maps No Gambit Maps No New Exotics outside of those damn solo Lost Sectors No Returning Exotic Weapons No ACTUALLY NEW Legendary Weapons No Returning D1 Legendary Gear! I am so tired of the seasonal model fr.

4 AntwortenA good rule for life is not focusing on what people do, but why they do it. Why would Bungie make promises they don't keep ??, why would they charge more for less ??, why do they put so much effort into Eververse when core activities get a fraction of the attention ??, why do they stay silent on nefarious practices such as the silver pricing when it comes to seasons ??, why is there no real communication apart from when they want you to buy something ??, why would you never not aim to overdeliver ?? Struggling to come up with reasons for that which will make sense. Are they being told to step up the monetisation by Sony ?? .. I would say so. Look at the micro transactions in Gran Turismo 7. But I feel they think people who have come this far will be invested to the end so hey, lets milk them as far as possible. When you look back Bungie has a history of massive under delivery. After all the hype for D2 it was a boring empty shell that lost almost 80% of it's players within weeks of launch. Curse of Osiris and Warmind were lacklustre. There have been highs like Forsaken but Lightfall is terrible and people are leaving. The seasons are cut and paste episodes of go here, do that and talk to this person. Now go here and talk to them again. It's pretty obvious that the aim now is maximum cash for minimum effort. That's why the Quality and Communication is gone. Its why we have a link to the store on the UI, and "recommendations" but no shader sorter, or links to our vault or to pick up bounties. We are never going to get the things you listed, all good points, or any explanation why.

2 AntwortenTake my upvote and then some. To me, you are not complaining, just pointing out how they are trying not to do the bare minimum standard (that they created or expressed they would do), and hope no one calls them out. I get the D2 is coming to the end of its cycle, and they have another project to work on. They should still give us the normal items that we expect, no matter how trivial. Give us some new ornaments for bright dust, new trials gear, and even a flag pole. If not, people need to remember how they are treating the player base at the end, and when their new game comes out, don't buy it. Low number sales on a new game is a great way to show them how we appreciate them.

24 AntwortenI've been playing Diablo 4, which Bungie considers 'lazy'. So far, Diablo has everything Bungie wants to do, but can't implement. Plus they regularly patch the game and even run large maintenance overnight and not in the middle of the damn day.

1 AntwortenThey are making so much money hand over fist they literally could not care less about the players displeasure.

11 AntwortenI don't care anymore, especially being on this forum reading how people are still trying to blame Publishers for every single thing poor action any business does. That's just dumb... At first, a lot of you and I mean a hell of a lot of you over the years on this forum tried to pin everything on Activision. Do I like Activision, hell no! I think all publishers are corrupted and it's why gaming is so -blam!- up these days. Now you guys are going to try and blame everything on Sony to try to cover this business A**? This is what it comes down to now, let's save the poor business that lied to you a hell of a lot over the years, that used your money on other projects that let this game go to -blam!-? This is way beyond stupid at this point to use anything other than a business-poor actions. There are games out today that you can have all the greedy things gaming businesses do in a game, but still have a quality type of game. Destiny is far from ever being a quality type of game, and all that is due to this business's poor actions. When anyone can prove that actual fact wrong, it will be the day pink elephants fly.

1 AntwortenThey love to make and forget promises, because they spew out so much info each week that the playerbase forgets too. 3 years ago now they said they were planning to add adept weapons to dungeons. That's just the one I haven't forgotten.

1 AntwortenWhen I first read this, I figured maybe many of your issues were an oversight on Bungie’s part, though I agree with all you listed and “oversight” didn’t sit right with me… But then this video put into words why you’ll like never see your point officially addressed. And what’s been making me uneasy and why I’ve cut down my play time. https://youtu.be/nsIdPWB2_JA

Guys go play some minecraft games, it will feel better i promise.

Why would they give us more?
they already have our money
2 AntwortenBungie can’t be bothered with Destiny they’re too busy trying to be Activision

Bungie: That sucks. Buy Marathon.

1 AntwortenBearbeitet von Quiet_Bushi: 6/19/2023 7:48:14 AMIt looks like they didn't have time to make a new Ritual Armor, but they found it to make 3 different sets for a Sony Collaboration plus a Ship, a Sparrow, a Ghost and 3 Finishers to cash out.

Bungie: we have forgotten about this game. Maybe you should too…🤷♂️

Players need to finally stop playing the game if they arent satisfied. If you keep logging in every single day, you are sendign the wrong signals. Still mind blowing how high daily player counts are considering the horrible state of the game. Shows you how many hopeless addicts are around...

I miss activision

4 AntwortenDestiny fells like its becoming/has become the unwanted step-child. This year so far at least. The only thing they consistently put effort into is the storefront. Strand is great, and some of the weapons have been good, but honestly, the rest of the content has been forgettable. (The aquarium in the HELM is pretty awesome but I think that's more an art/design dept thing which I feel like has never failed this game) In fact, the stuff I will commend, has all been art/design related. I usually have a pretty active group of friends but they have already pretty well stepped out as of last week (only the 3rd week of the season, mind you.)

100% agreed.

The current state of the game is just not good right now. It feels like they’re just coasting through to Final Shape. I think this extra year before the end of the light/dark saga was a bad idea. Lightfall is even less engaging than Shadowkeep for me. This is the first expansion where the launch season didn’t hold my interest until the following season, and even this season I’m basically just doing the weekly story on Tuesday and then the occasional Last Wish for red borders. I may do some GMs this week for Loaded Question, but finding the motivation is very difficult right now because the game feels very neglected at the moment.

Yep. Well written post.

1 AntwortenIt's like they're trying to do what HelloGames did, but failing -blam!-.

How about all the stat tracker emblems that haven’t worked for years? Candy count, cookies baked, notes banked, blockers defeated, etc
