I am not one to rant about everything bungie does wrong and I try to keep thing non-toxic but this is ridiculous. I am a 1.4kd player who played comp today so i am def above average but not a pvp god by any means. I got put in relegation the other day from ascendant and tried to fight my way out today. My opposition was first a team of all people who were 3.0 kd lifetime. our teammate also got error coded with an error that actually states it is a server side probelm, not a personal connection problem so of course we lost. My teammate got a message saying that this match would not affect his comp rank, but it still counted as a loss for my relegation which is totally fair and just. Next game we play people around 2.5kd lifetime and one top 500 trials player and one brand new account (obviously a smurf acc). We loose this as well. I end up losing so much rank out of my relegeation im all the way back in adept two.
This is absurd. You claim to have tighter sbmm for comp in a ladder based system which is already fundamentally backwards, but the low tier players are protected from people like me, but I'm not protected from people TWICE MY KD??? this is absurd and just seems like major hypocrisy to me. You are only protecting new and below average players obviously and you just let the medium to high skill bands all mesh together??? this is not fair and entirely ruined my experience with d2 altogether today. The comp system is unsustainably flawed and you think you are doing this in the best way. Well, I ran into plenty of smurfs getting to ascendant (your counter was sbmm would prevent more smurfing), i ran into plenty of cheaters with VAC BANS ON THEIR STEAM. this makes no sense to me that a AAA title like this can run with such low quality of product. this pvp experience feels worse than it ever has and I don't say this lightly, but as someone in the development space, you should ashamed of this half baked product you rolled out bungie. Who's working on pvp? The newlight experience devs? like c'mon this is so ridiculous. I wouldn't of been mad if i lost fair fights or i lost due to the ladder. But I lost because of some weird hybrid of these ideas that also penalizes me for losing to smurf accounts so idk it is so frustrating though.

Stop playing. They feed on their data. 3v3 is a garbage game mode. Stop wasting your time playing it. 5v5 should be comp with either control or clash. They don't have the balls.

122 for a hard fought win Then a complete -blam!- whooping from extremely unbalanced teams and I lose 134.

Bearbeitet von BraddyBo: 6/7/2023 8:11:35 PMComp will always be trash, just like most comp/ranked modes because devs REFUSE to implement rank based mm instead of sbmm (overwatch does it correctly). It’s completely ridiculous that a average skilled player towards the top of their skill bracket can climb higher and faster than a way above average player that’s on the low end of their skill bracket. Overwatch 2 had this problem in S1-S3 but they fixed it in S4 and I went from gold/plat to m/gm because my hidden mmr was astronomical compared to my visible rank.

1 Antwortenwasn't comp getting removed, because we got trials? think it was i a twab. or just me hallucinating from pvp flashbacks.

1 AntwortenI did a bunch of matches solo. Lost all of them. Checked destiny tracker and all of the matches were about 60 to 65% chance of winning for the other team. Even when I still managed to do ok, ore at least best in a loosing team I just kept loosing around 130 to 150 points. It's redicoulusly bad and so called sbmm and teambalance is always stacked against me. The pointsystem is also completly broken. Don't know what the exact changes are the put in but this sh!t is unbeleavably bad. Unplayable!

2 AntwortenI haven’t touched competitive all season long. I didn’t even go into IB at all. No reason. It is what it is

Comp is trash. Another system that favors equality of outcome at the expense of the more dedicated pvp players. I played the first two seasons and I'm regretting wasting all that time now.

Bearbeitet von BOSSNONO254: 6/6/2023 10:34:48 AMNot enough incentive for comp. And the rank system is ridiculous. I’ve lost games with the highest performance and still somehow manage to lose points. Or it being the opposite with a win. I’ve barely tried it this month because I’ve been procrastinating. Partly due to the fact that the system during survival and competitive were just as “rewarding.” But to me an emblem, and weekly weapon drop isn’t enough incentive to play it with the matchmaking and point system it has.

Matchmaking is fine when there's enough players online. I don't like waiting so long to match teams, but the games I get are usually very competitive. Bungie has basically said that your eventual Comp Rank will perfectly match your "skill" (provided you play enough games). If you have a high "skill", you'll eventually reach Ascendant. I have a problem with the lack of rewards. There are fewer rewards now than before the Comp rework. How does that make sense? They need to add incentives to play to drive up player engagement and thus reduce the problems associated with SBMM

2 AntwortenIt works like this: and this is my take on it at least what I found out so far: Competitive does have ranking systematic you can see. But this is just a cosmetic system to keep you motivated: Competitive is complete skillbase: So the game doesn’t take in to consideration what you’re in game rank is. It has a hidden skill rating behind the scene. This skill rating bungie calls sr. This score is invisible to us players but if you want a general idea, I did this made a seconds account played normal crusible the game wil assign you a sr behind the scene then I when to do my comp evaluation matches after losing all my 7 evaluation matches I still got gold 3 the highest ranking in the game. This to me means before my evaluation bungie all ready assigned me the highest pre determined skill rating for my placement. Now how does the point system work. Because every payer does have a hidden sr rating from 0/2000 your match up will be like: Team 1 Player 1: 500 Player 2: 500 Player 3: 1200 Team 2 Player 1: 300 Player2: 300 Player3: 1600 If player 3 on team 2 lose this match he will lose at redicules amount of points close to 200 points because he is expected to beat the lobby. Both team are equal to 2200 points but the game assumed that he will ba able to crry the other 2 300 sr players. Now if player 3 wins the match he will win 5 points because the pre determined score of the game was that he would win his sr is just higher then the other team. Bungie called this competitive sbmm matchmaking. In Vise versa, the players on the other team just beat player 3 on team 2 they will get about 100/170 points per player because the are victory’s in a game where they where expected to lose. This is how to gain points win matches where the game thinks you’re in a disadvantage. A adjustment to this example this is a extreem example of how it works. Just to give a clear example because the game mode has a lot of sbmm in this playlist the numbers are nrml closer to each other. 1000/1500 players will face eachother. The game does take in to considerably kda/score etc. For example if player 3 on team 2 ends up with a lower score( dunks in rift ) kda ( survival ) then one of his 300 teammates he will lose even more points. Hope this helps a little with the score understanding. Think of destiny competitive pvp as Mario cart competitive. And pls don’t take its seriously because it will make you so frustrated and it’s not worth it. Bungie openly admitted that destiny isn’t a competitive game. The playlist is only here to keep some players happy for revenue. Its not here to be that game. Have a great one
